Hahahahahahaha fool - couldn't possibly be that Schwab had done a poor job and had created and entrenched divisions within the club. It's nothing personal and Schwab handled himself with dignity yesterday however he had to go and not because Caroline Wilson had an ancient axe to grind but because it was in the best interests of he Melbourne Footy Club. Hopefully we can move on now and not worry about looking backwards and further entrenching the fractures within the club mainly between the admin and FD.

You remind me more of Fozzie, and the evidence you have for the fractures within the Club, assume like WYL and the long lost Rangey from the pen of Caroline Wilson, I was in the Club last night, were you?, been in quite often lately, have you?... you will also see I didn't mention Caroline Wilson in my post, you did....name calling gee I miss Rangey...shall I expect your PM or are you going to duck below your keyboard now........I agree Cam Schwab did it in the best interests of the Club because unlike a lot of supporters he has class

Cam Schwab was a class act last night. He could have taken an entirely different and divisive approach but he didn't. I have been critical of him but to be critical still is petty at best.

Vlad was on 3AW just before and he said he wants our club to survive for another 150 years and that the Melbourne Brand is powerful in the overall competition seeing that Melbourne is the heartland of the competition.

He wants a new CEO to go in to the club and do a full review of what's wrong and report to the board and tell them what needs to be done.

Strangely I believe him.

didn't he once state that the Melbourne Brand stood for nothing?

Be careful WYL you don't know what I do or have done, so do you?....that is the modern profit driven above everything else, let's not take chances Television industry............I miss Rangey already........but if you want to step fwd feel free

I will say it one more time.

The AFL do not want a dead rubber game every week of the season. The amount of money paid by FOX & Ch7 is too high for that.

Our performances on the ground so far this season have not been AFL standard.

If the club does not improve, they will get involved.

You said in your post Schwab was sacked because of "Trial by media" and intimated that us poor simple sods had been manipulated by the media to carry out their anti-Schwab agenda. To be so blind to the issues within the club is naive at best and sycophantic or downright stupid at worst.

Tell me what was in the Andrews Report? What was discussed between the players and Stynes/McLardy in the lead-up to 186? Answer me that before you start pontificating about how these divisions within the club are just media beat-ups.

I applaud your dedication to volunteer your time to the club but that is not feasible for everyone. Just because you shook a couple of hands though doesn't mean you have anymore insight into the internal politics of the club that anyone else.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
