Oh and the other 'in' will hopefully be a more competiitive performance.

Why is everyone so big on Gawn. He is tall but other than that is as unproven as anyone else in the side. I think people are expecting far too much from Gawn. He will have a servicable career for sure but i cant see too much upside to be honest.

He has a huge upside if he can stay fit. 208cm mobile tap ruck man, gets his own ball around the ground and can kick goals. Watched him take Ben Hudson to the cleaners a few years back when playing for Casey.

We are rubbish, no doubt, but throwing Kent out there in this environment will not help him or us. And he is not in our top 15 players.

We keep waiting for the next batch of kids to save us - we are waiting for Superman - it will not happen like that.

We need all these men that we have to pull their collective finger out and make us half-decent so that the kids we have can play their role in a good atmosphere.

I agree. I wouldn't be opposed to playing him next week against GWS in a game that we have half a chance in. I'd hate to see him rack up 5 possessions in a 150 point belting and get sent straight back to Casey.

I'm sorry, what? You can't see much upside in Gawn? You've got to be kidding. Not only did he dominate in the ruck last week in just his second game back from a year-long lay-off, but he also led the tackle count, converted when up forward, and had 20 disposals.

Oh, also, he's 208cm tall...the second tallest player in the league.

Sure, there's chance that he could go the way of many of our other recruits and not live up to his potential, but I have no idea how somebody could not see his upside.

We keep throwing these boys in when they are not ready.

We console ourselves by saying that 'the kids couldn't do any worse!' and we may be right but what does it do (what has it done) to the development of kids to play before they should and be involved in the soul destroying losses that we have seen these past two weeks.

Toumpas should not have been exposed to the AFL like this. From reports on the MFC website - he has taken it awfully badly.

We just don't learn.

Stop throwing the kids to the wolves when they are not ready and make sure that they earn their call up.
