G. LYON - FOOTY CLASSIFIED

Recommended Posts

Lyon will agree that the club/players are in crisis and agree with each and every comment made by the other 3.

Maybe he will also agree that we need all the players to drink a cup of concrete and not fret about fracturing an eyelash

LIFT - STEP UP - STAY STRONG

As far as I am concerned the media can GAGF.

Robinson, Wilson, Sheehan, Denham, Lloyd, Smith, Jay CLark, Connolly - the lot of em.

They are useless pinhead deadbeats that love feasting on a swinging carcass. Sadly we give them so much ammo but I can't wait for the day when we are standing on the Premiership dais and the club tells them all to F off.

The Essendon ones in particular who are happy to deflect any criticism of the drug fuelled cheats.

I hope we get the 4 points back once they are done for cheating. Again. Should have taken the flag off them in 93 as the were found to have salary cap cheated from 91 to 96. F em all I say.

The media are not just messengers OD, that is the problem, they are bullies and vultures that feed off the carcasses of the weak. They are spineless and don't report the truth, but rather attack those find it hard to fight back.

Not so Old, they take particular delight in denigrating the Dees and the supporters, we are like some sort of National Sport.

Sorry Robbie I don't see it that way.

I look at the MFC and our performance over a long period and then what the media write.

I struggle to disagree with 75% of it.

IMO it is not the media's fault we find ourselves in this rat hole.

he wouldn't say, he just gave a hint that it had something to do with "one million dollars".

I doubt it will be positive.

You will be surprised.

We are going to disagree Redleg.

As Dees we just need someone to blame for our own inabilities.

If the media actually checked their facts and were even handed in their criticism, then that would be ok, but some of the lies and misinformation are unforgivable.

We were singled out as the only tankers in the history of the game when every journo out there knows many other clubs did it as well. They treated us like garbage and that is unforgivable. Look how easy they are going on Essendon, how much did Collingwood, Carlton, Richmond, Hawthorn cop, zero. They picked on the weak animal trailing the back of the pack and savaged us.

That is [censored] poor and that really sums up the level of journalism in this Country.

The media act like school yard bullies and pick on the weakest kid; if they had any guts they'd go after the big boys too but don't hold your breath.

How much better than us have the Tigers been over the last 30+ years; do they cop it like we do?

Would you prefer they remained silent after a 148 point loss Redleg?

I looked on Bomber Blitz at the height of their woes and they wanted to lynch the media, calling for boycotts and generally slagging them off. They were defending their boys to the hilt.

Why, FFS then do we as a club cower from them or proclaim " don't shoot the messenger". What crap. This is where you defend our club, not tell us that Venom Denham and his ilk may have a point. Attack, attack, attack. F##k em. You can be sure that they want to do the same to us.

That is your view

I prefer to identify the problem.

That way you have a small chance of fixing the problem.

If you de nigh constantly the problem never gets fixed.

Remind you of anything

We know there's a problem. I'm just saying lets not lie down and accept their constant bile and say its constructive criticism. I say it's BS. How hard is it to understand that many of the media want a story of disaster and woe. It's got nothing to do with helping us move forward. To the contrary

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
