Beg. Borrow. Steal

Get this guy to save this club

You'd have to offer him an unconditional seven year contract to turn this shite around......if the club lasts that long.

Having said that, I firmly believe that Neeld will coach until (at least) the end of the year.

Roost - you're kidding yourself, the greatest coach in the world could not change today's result. We have a woeful list that seems to be completely unable to listen to coaches instructions. Lets not start this bulshite about a new coach, lets make the players accountable for once hey!. Neeld is not the problem here!!!! anyone with football knowledge would know we have one of the best coaching panels in the league its a shame we have a reserve grade playing roster and you cannot blame the current coaches for that!, get angry at the players.

We should hire another untried coach who was a crap player in their day.

Seems to have worked well with Bailey and Neeld.

Roos will not want to go anywhere near this place.

maybe if it didnt stink like [censored]

The main difference between Neeld and Roos, is that Roos can turn average characters into passionate footballers, Neeld has not inspired any passion at all. Not even after big Jim died.

Neeld is very very dangerous to the spirit of this football club and supporter base. Even if the players are fitter, there is nothing more dangerous than losing your spirit.

He is not the only one, Craig lost the Adelaide boys, they became spiritless, albeit after 7 years of relative success.

Sheedy held the spirit of the club together for 25 years.

Malthouse for over 10 years

Matthews for about 10 years

Roos for about 8 years

Neeld seems to kill our spirit. I don't know why, but he has even killed my spirit. He seems like kryptonite. He even sapped Nathan Jones. How can pro footballers be so disinterested.

Maybe its Neelds style.

If we don't show fight against the bombers, Neeld must be replaced. Im not talking about winning, just spirit. The raw basic ingredient. If Spirt is not there, then knock on Roos door. Let Viney be caretaker, at least we will fight our way thru games.

Losing our most passionate player in Moloney was a wakeup call that the spirit was dying.

I try my best to buy in to Neelds vision, but boy he makes it bloody hard.

Roos won't touch us. Snubbing Kevin Sheedy has set us back 10 years. Seriously Who The F--K where we to knock back a very rare chance to get a 4 time premiership coach at our club as the main man.

Would have also helped with gaining some respect back to the club.

Ask Gary Lyon.

Bailey over Sheedy.. what an absolute disgrace.

Not correct really. Neeld has probably lost me too, but Jones clearly had his best season last year. Finally delivered and stepped up. That was under Neeld.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
