BUT, that said, I am rational enough to see that Neeld, Craig, Misson et al are all very competent, and they are diligently doing what needs to be done at this club.

Here's the issue with that. Misson has success but its an intangible in how much it effects percentages of wins (especially in a team with no confidence like ours). Neeld is unproven at this level until 2012 and since then has a shocking record. Adelaide circa 2012 make Craig looking very ordinary as a senior coach.

It's not irrational to say that they are struggling. Sacking the coach is not the answer but blind faith and staying the course because change seems difficult is even more irrational. If we are this uncompetitive all year I'd expect that 2 out of 3 of those roles need to change, if only for the psychological boost.

My biggest concern is that it's round one & only a handful of players are prepared to do the things to play the game the right way & get themselves up for a game most would give their all to play in. Where is the motivation? The same thing happened last year round 1 against Brisbane. I have no doubt Neeld is professional & has changed the culture off the field in terms of professional preparation. However if you can't get your players up for Rd1 there is something seriously wrong. Do the players really want to play for him & the club? Is his game plan ineffective? Hinkley has had 6months with his mob & look at what he has produced. The same could be said for Hird/Thompson after they took over. I'm well aware the talent isn't there on the list, however what was dished up today was without doubt a disgrace. No effort or desire to play for the jumper or team mates. Feels like the club is going around on a merry go round of constant on field incompetence.

I don't kow what's wrong but I reckon nobody you could name could have coached the Dees to a win today. Why blame the coach? Our list is rubbish.

I know what your saying Ron. I'm just frustrated. I still can't believe how many times we kicked to a pack situation. I've never seen this before to this extent. It was shocking. Anyway I'll b there next week. Hope they prove me wrong.

I don't give a stuff if you think Roos is a [censored]. He gets players buying in. Neeld has not done this.

This is also what I see. Neeld has not inspired the players. They are not playing for him. There is no positive relationship.

If all other things remained the same at the club, in terms of administration, board etc, there is not a single name thrown up in this thread that could improve us anywhere near enough. Apart from the fact that not a single name in this thread would even contemplate coaching us due to the aforementioned issues and lack of respect in the footballing world.

That is not saying Neeld should stay, just saying I don't think that it would help.

Agree, have bred a culture of failure and cost us half a mill.
