Demonland 74,351 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Lucky I'm not playing anyone in Dreamteam this week.
Gorgoroth 13,216 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Bags I have Terlich in my supercoach!!!!! No Vlaustin for the Tigers either!!!! BAHHHHHH
GawnWithTheWind 604 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Pederson, Rodan, Byrnes and Gillies are all named too. No mention of Dawes.
Bring-Back-Powell 15,535 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Pederson to debut on the back of a poor nab cup. Interesting.
GawnWithTheWind 604 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I'd say Dawes hasn't pulled up well. Neeld was adament that Clark is playing.. So I would say they are taking Clark, Sellar and Pedo as the talls for the forward line. Otherwise we will be verrrrry top heavy
rjay 25,424 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 terlich has had the most impressive pre season out of all of them but wont play? No Kent either? Probably didn't want to have too many debs, but both will be in the mix early in the season if their VFL form holds.
rjay 25,424 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Pederson, Rodan, Byrnes and Gillies are all named too. No mention of Dawes. Tommy Mc may well miss.

GawnWithTheWind 604 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 What's your source for this? MFCs social media
Ouch! 2,276 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 http://www.melbournefc.com.au/melbourne/news/2013-03-28/toumpas-viney-and-jones-to-debut.workstation We recruited Ricky Ponting? good luck to them but 3 debutantes spells game over for me. just realistic guys. There would be a fair chance of of these boys will be the sub though. Its a fair point tho.
dee-luded 2,959 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 I'd say Dawes hasn't pulled up well. Neeld was adament that Clark is playing.. So I would say they are taking Clark, Sellar and Pedo as the talls for the forward line. Otherwise we will be verrrrry top heavy The reports I've read are that Dawes has moved well, & has been rested to keep his hammies good. So I think, being conservative after serious injury, that Clarke will play again @ Casey, after only completing 3/4 qtrs last week. Remember his injury is career threatening so one more week at Casey may be good caution. So I think it could be Sellar, with Pederson in the pocket, & Dawes @ CHF. Either Sellar or Pedro can help Jamar, so its a nice balance.

dee-luded 2,959 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 There would be a fair chance of of these boys will be the sub though. Its a fair point tho. I wonder if the Toump would be a sub, or vica-verca. Either way I think he'll play a shortened game in minutes.
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Toumpas as sub makes sense to me. Eases the burden on debuting players. Viney and Matt jones have been prepared to play round 1, lets see how they go. Sounds like no Dawes, sensible decision. Hope tommy Mc plays because I think gillies can play but he's not a strong big defender he's more of a third tall. That might make us very tall but the club obviously has faith in watts, Dunn and garland having the speed to play small. That said I thought terlich was the man for the last defensive spot. Have Nicholson, Jetta or Strauss done enough?
dee-luded 2,959 Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Well Neeld said about an hour ago that Dawes didnt get up. Soooo................. this is awkward. 'Oh', OK, I didn't know that. Well that does make it interesting... ... what chances TMac chf? Sellar & Pedro deep, with a small mobile forward zone?
