Go Dees !!! :unsure::)

Not even quarter time and we've got this parcelled up.

I've got a feeling you might make that same joke every year Jack!

One thing the live chat won't do is tell us what is actually happening from the supporters eyes as they will never say anything bad.

Quarter time - By the sounds of it Byrnes has had plenty of the ball and has kicked 1. How are all the other players doing?

from me also..

damn..was all set to go out there

off to docs and now a blood test..there goes the morning

bugger

waste of time on the blood test bb. i can assure you it will be red'n'blue

Trengove is not playing though.

Players listed not playing so far are : Clark, Trengove, Gawn, Sellar, Dawes, Clisby

Estimated top 4 ball winners: Byrnes, N.Jones, Rodan, Grimes

Edited by alias275

Havn't heard a mention on Blease/Barry/Watts/Garland/Strauss/Taggart yet

Sounds like recruits are all over it at the moment.

DemonsHQ:

Matt Jones kicks forward in an attempt to find Hogan, Gillies gets in front and spoils well

ive tried asking on the chat.. no reply

what are the teams like..??

best 22 against the newbies.. a balanced line up ? or a conglomeration of specific match ups ?

tia

Not a surprise given that one third of or list are new recruits!

It's an oldie but a goodie GV.

Jack Viney, Jimmy Toumpas are going to be great acquisitions in the midfield. JV at the bottom of every pack. The Hulk is simply incredible (that's an oldie too). I was never a wrap for Rodan but he and Byrnes might add a bit while the young blokes develop.

Also, Andy and I have just bought a hot dog each thereby making a solid contribution to the club in case it needs some extra funds after a possible announcement from the AFL later today.

Its is basically the best Forwards and Mids in the Blue Team, then our better defenders are in White.

The rest make up the teams.

Byrnes has been a major standout. Just goes to show what an older experienced player a bit to slow for Geelong can bring to a club like Melbourne.

3 goals to Byrnes before half time.

I'd highly doubt that they'd stream an intra-club match, but if you find one, let me know :)

It was a tongue in cheek request. Given we have such a high quality standard of training reports it is only to be expected that we will start live streaming soon!!

3 goals to Byrnes before half time.

Brilliant he could be a massive recruit this year

I only got there for the second quarter, but from what I saw Watts looked very good, no 10 for Blue (Byrnes?) was in amongst a lot and clunked a few goals, and Viney is very lively.

Can someone help me, what numbers are the new guys?

woohoo footy!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
