How about that song that Celine Dion sang when that lovely young couple were standing on the front of that big boat? That was a nice song.

Or how about something by the Bangles? The crowd could sing along. If we could somehow change to words to "just another manic Saturday" ... on second thoughts, "just another Sunday afternoon/twilight". You get the idea.

Or, how about an Aussie song. Surely there's room for an Aussie song? "There's a track winding back to an old fashioned shack" ... I think that one was about the Junction oval.

Or has anybody mentioned that song from that boxing movie? "That's the size of the tiger", something like that. Sung by that poor bloke whose jocks must have been a bit tight. He sounded like he'd swallowed a jalapeno at the same time.

Or how about this one for the mcc lunch in the Dining Room, & then onto Intro the game > www.youtube.com/watch?v=cf1fjg_HdM4

After 24 years of following the MFC, we should come out to 'The Crying Game' by Culture Club as that is what following us usually results in.

is that how cats get tape worm , ?

Just mix it up . Some retro and some new stuff ... maybe Aussie primarily ... gotta be real loud with a slant on driving rock . Here's one from yesteryear for starters ...

dee-luded posted 'Highway to Hell' with Brian Johnson up front but I prefer the version with Bon Scott ...

Not so sure about all other clubs playing other songs before games, Meth Coast & Freo don't. Both have pre game entertainment with Mascots heading around the boundary, before running out to their club songs.

If they win they both play their club songs, before playing

Eagle Rock by Mondo Rock for Meth Coast

TNT by AC/DC for Freo

Not keen on big change but if the club is going down this road Highway to Hell AC/DC would be my choice even though allegedly the song is about a road in Perth (Freo to be exact), think we could take meaning of Hell being hopefully what opposition sides will face on the field once we sort ourselves out

Are we American NFL yet? We do not need this rubbish in order to pad out a dull sport. Ours is entertainment enough, no need to commercialise more than it is already.

FFS, it's already too bloody loud during the breaks.

Grand Ol Flag is plenty. No more please.

And something far more recent from 'Switchfoot' ...if it's not blaring loud it doesn't work ... no wrinklies ...

I like Bon scott as well, but I tried to get a HQ recording to highlight the instruments.

I don't like the incumbent nearly as much.

Bon was unique . Brian has been upfront for 32 years now !

Was never a AC/DC freak but liked a lot of their songs . They still hold up ...

Always felt that good rock and our game is a great mix . Can't stand the ads though .

Hells Bells. That first ring of the bell - is there a more ominous sound than that?

100x this It's an ideal song in every sense.

I'm rolling thunder, pouring rain

I'm coming on like a hurricane

My lightning's flashing across the sky

You're only young but you're gonna die

I won't take no prisoners won't spare no lives

Nobody's putting up a fight

I got my bell I'm gonna take you to hell

I'm gonna get ya, satan get ya

Hells bells

Hells bells, you got me ringing

Hells bells, my temperature's high

Hells bells

Not a fan of "Highway to Hell" purely for the references to "going dowwwwwn".

I think we've had enough of going down. Time to go up.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
