It's sad but for some reason, I never warmed to him. Probably because he was a South African and a Pom and one of the few from over there in the old dart at the time who ever put up a fight against us.

Still, my condolences to the family in this difficult time.

RIP Tony Greig .

Always enjoyed the good natured banter in the commentary box and he was a fierce competitor on the field . The ton he made in the 1974/75 series (1st test at Brisbane) stands out . Whilst Thomson and Lillee were frightening the living daylights out of England, Greigy stood tall . Here is the scorecard from that test .

Condolences to all those affected by his sad passing .

He was prickly, but he was also respectful.

he would annoy with a smile.

I missed his commentary this summer, his banter with Bill Lawry was always entertaining.

I'm sorry about his passing but have to confess I never liked him as a cricketer or commentator. Thought he was over rated as a cricketer and his anti Australian commentary annoyed the [censored] out of me particularly as we provided him with a wonderful livelihood, I always thought he rather [censored] in our faces.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
