Geez I'm glad his nickname isn't spelled with an "T" in it.

What?? When?? How??

OK Brain fade. Didn't realise the rookie draft was on this morning....

Mitch and Nathan, both Crow eaters, may be Neil Craigs influence?

Geez I'm glad his surname isn't spelled with an "T" in it.

Yep, then we'd never be able to find him, which kinda fits well, seems to be a mystery man.

No surprise.

No surprise.

What do you know about him?

Nice highlights package. Good vision and decision making, could play of halfback?

Looks to have great awareness and weights his kicks beautifully.

Good highlights reel. Looks to have great awareness and measures his disposal well. Also looks rather slow and very one-sided. Was that David Rodan he tackled twice? Gotta love that, will be a bit of competitiveness between them on the track.

Agree McQueen he is already in front of at least five at the dees.

He hits targets

Rodan will be thrilled to see his highlights package

Beat me by 30 seconds

He hits targets

And from that package buys himself time and makes great decisions, see how he goes when we speed things up.

Also loves a tackle and they stick.

Like the look of this kid. Probably the only thing I didn't see is the use of his left foot.

However, a good sample of highlights.

This kid looks to be a gun, just on footage.

So composed, I haven't seen a more composed player in any of our draftee tapes.

Doesn't look to be your magner type pick, the kid looks to have a touch of flair.

Confident player with good awareness and a great kick by the looks of those highlights.

Mitch is a 22 year old who has been with North Adelaide for 4 years and continued to improve. Had another solid year and finished 4th in North Adelaides best & fairest playing as a quick rebounding half-back/wingman who is a very good mid range kick of the ball.

Probably upped his draft value with a great finals series in which he had 3 of his better games for the year.

- Darryl Wintle, North Adelaide talent manager.

Rodan will be thrilled to see his highlights package

He certainly seems to have good judgement, at this level in this highlights package - will be interested to see how he copes with the extra pace and far less time at AFL.

LOL - at 5:00 won't be in Roden's highlights reel.

I love highlights packages - every new recruit looks like an absolute gun. I'd love to see a lowlights package of exiting players to offer their new club (set to beeny hill music)

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

The Demons come face to face with St. Kilda for the second time this season for their return clash at Marvel Stadium on Sunday. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
