could he be our small forward that we have apperently signed? ;)

Not a chance

The spuds at our club that think that they can coast while they are here and then just jump to another club when they get hurt feelings by being told they aren't up to it, really want to have a good hard look at where the players of the past five years have ended up.

Totally agree. Lots of hurt feelings atm, but the fact is that Neeld isn't asking them to do anything 17 other clubs aren't doing too.

He was my litmus player for Richmond. Looks like the Tiges might be going somewhere after all.

You mean a pick 21 that we couldn't "develop" was also a dud at Richmond ? A club that has developed Cotchin, Martin, Riewoldt, etc ?

Or maybe he was just another [censored] pick. Nah, too simple. Must be the development.

Surprised considering they kept playing him so often (Even if it was as sub 75% of the time)

RIP to the Emo Era.

I'll put up my hand and say I thought we should have given Maric another year.

Delisted after one year at Richmond suggests he's not up to it. I was wrong.

His a talented kid, just has the wrong attitude about it all.

Maybe our recruiters have been looking at the wrong areas over the last 6 years or so? Maric broke the record for kicking efficiency in the u18s. Cook was AA CHF. PErhaps these factors were given more weight than they deserved?

I wonder if BP even bothered to properly interview him.

Apart from once kicking 6 in the VFL, he literally showed nothing whatsoever.

Is it possible that we can just keep the BP bashings to just one thread? Perhaps we can get Ranegy to start a new one up for us.

At the end of the day, we've picked what we picked. For all of BP's so-called F-ups, he's also provided us with some good footballers, such as Howe, Tom McDonald and Blease. I'm not sticking up for him, I'm just getting bored of reading a thread about an individual player/s and always seeing criticism about BP.

Let's move on, and for those that don't want to, give them somewhere to whinge, not taking over every thread.

Did have 31 touches one day. Not the best 31 touches you'll ever see but did have his brief moments.

Only had 7 games with them. ,Hardly played often. Failed to ever show a thing with us

As much as we'd all like to see BP fired out of a cannon for Grand Final pre-game entertainment, Maric was taken in Cameron's final draft.

That would be great.

CaC & BP fired out of a cannon from the MCC Reserve at half time of a GF.

Well thought out!!

10 games http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/players/A/Addam_Maric.html (yes, I know most as sub). Still, into a half decent side for almost half the year so they can't have been that down on him.

All downhill from this point http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/addam-marics-just-apples/story-fn9eu7in-1226381961285

Pardon me, I don't usually miss things like. My apologies to BP.

And Billy, I didn't intend to turn this thread into a BP-bashing thread, I was merely wondering. Turns out I was wrong anyway.

No pardon required. And good luck to the ill-postured Maric in his new role as gargoyle above the entrance to AAMI Park.

...and Gysberts scored high in kicking efficiency at draft camp but it is a weakness in matches. Maybe not enough weight on playing footy.

Yet another wasted high pick. That's Scully, Cook, Gysberts, Maric to go with Morton, Bate and Dunn

I'd hate to see a list of players who were picked after this bunch of spuds

No. No you wouldn't

Edit: Oops misread hate as like

In that case, yes, yes you would

Just another blown draft pick....We have been given chances on so many occasions.

Those within the club are too blame for whatever reason...Keep ffinding new staff until it is made right.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
