Now this dreadful season is over for us,there's one strong point of interest for me. I really hope the Mudpies go out in straight sets!

I can't stand Hawthorn, and hate the fact that they'll overtake us in Flags(have they already?) if they win, but I'd prefer them to Collingwood.

The thing that allays my fear slightly is that I think any team in the eight can beat Collingwood. Especially Haw, Adelaide, Freo and WCE.

But I fear that they might strike form and do better than people expect. You can be sure they'll get the better of the umpiring decisions due to the hysterical screaming from their fans(refer back to the St K and Ess wins to see the effect of the fans on the umps)

I hope they put Dawes back in, since I consider they're playing one short with him.

Wouldn't it be awful if Pendles did a hammy! How come he never gets injured.....he looks pretty skinny!

I know someone will post that they hope to see them lose by a point in the GF, but I want them OUT as soon as possible!

Would rather they win than WCE, Freo or Adelaide.

Must be the ageing process but I don't hate the Pies to quite the same amount that I did before Adelaide entered the league.

I'd barrack whole-heatedly for Adelaide, WCE ,Sydney or Freo against Collingwood in a GF or any game!

It was 1958 that did it to me. I know I should move on but I won't!

A bit like me and choosing Cook JJC

Ill be an astute husband who knows which side his bread is buttered.. My wife is Collingwood. Ill be outwardly quite and neutral, inwardly invoking the hell of hades to work against the dark force we know as filth.

Still, if they win I have a happy wife thats a pleasure to live with...its not quite win win, but I dont really lose..lol

Geelong are up against it, but they could do it. Hawkins & Stevie J will tell.

Hawthorn are just ready.

The best club in the competition IMO

Down years are rare, play it hard and tough

Win way more than they lose over time.

Every thing I wish the MFC were but sadly are not.

Yes. John kennedy learnt his trade from Norm Smith.

Time we learnt from them.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. Firstly the bad news - McVee went down late, which does look like a bad hammy - towards the end of match sim, as he kicked the ball. Had to

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
