Don't read much do you...

Locking away a current major jumper sponsor for next year hardly eradicates the blunders of the past year (namely deliberately going into a season without a major jumper sponsor on account of negotiations for the magical Chinese mega-deal and in turn getting into a situation where the club had neither major jumper sponsors).

Given the product the guy is trying to sell, he's done an amazing job to get any money from anyone!

Fair crack mate.

I think you missed the "deliberately" part, the deal with Energy Watch was the biggest in club history and the Chinese deal was said to be bigger than that. He admitted he was overlooking "lesser deals" to try and get the Chinese deal done.

And with how quickly the Webjet and Opel deals were locked in after having no sponsors whatsoever, it's hard to argue there wasn't sponsorship interest.

Comes across as ego to me, trying to catch the biggest fish in spite of the club's best interests (and supporters being able to purchase a guernsey relevant to the next season without delay).

Lol... Yeah how dare Schwabb try and get the most money he could for the club, who does he think he is?

There was never a Chinese sponsorship within kooee of being signed. Schwab readily admitted this at a news conference when the energywatch debacle happened. It was a ballsy play and CS would have been lauded a champion if he landed a big fish, but sadly to no avail.

I simply don't know BB

On this one I have to defer to the board.

In two years time they will either look like a bunch of rocket scientists or dip sticks.

But that will not be the responsibility of CS alone.

The die is cast in a number of area's and we have no choice to run with it.

It is always thus with the MFC but interesting times lie ahead.

Is this where I am supposed to pretend I know if he is doing a good job or not? I have no idea and I imagine a lot of supporters don't know. So good on you CS I think?

I'm not going to turn in my sleep over a CEO.

If Schwab is a good sort or not is up to the Board. I really don't know either way. But he was a dead man walking 13 months ago. He must have done something right since.

I said the same above cfh.

From the outside who knows.

He has made a few errors( who doesn't ) but seems to have recovered quite well.

The current board and CS are now locked together.

Everything or nothing for both of them.

I just want a flag so we can hold a press conference and Scwhab is there with Watts,Morton,Neeld and any other whipping boy and they all step up to the microphone, clear their throats and begin and end the press conference with F you herald sun and F you Brock Mclean and F you Energy watch and F you Wojo (still haven't forgotten) and so on.

Im prepared to defer a real opinion on where we sit to those that put up the big bikkies.

Whilst Webjet has yet to announce anything Opel has. They only came on board for a year ( with an option ) They exercised thir otion. To me thats a ringing endorsement of th eclub and those in charge. I understand CS is a major player in all of this so kudos to him I say ( and the rest of those involved )

Sometimes I think were a bloody feral mob who are very quick to rain on anyone who veers slightly off a path. Seldom is there any fanfare for a job well done.

All jokes and desks aside I can only assume C Sis doing a better than ok job as the club seems to be on a much better footing than before he came on board. Yes Jimma rallied the masses but the club continues to operate responsibly and profitably.

The board think so too and I can only think they know a lot more than most of us.

Looks like we are going to need to get the man a new Desk.

I'm thinking Oak-a la Henry Blake.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
