Liam Jurrah!!!

It would be great if he could get another run this year, it'd be a shame if his only game for 2012 was a 100+ flogging where he injured his knee.

had me excited Paul!!

Thought he got the call up V Gold Coast. He's the type of guy that could put his footy gear on, rush to the ground after not playing for 6 weeks and boot 5. I'd pick him V GC.

We probably should do that otherwise we might get accused of tanking by not playing our best players.

i have notice rudeboy has been really quite lately...

Your point being? Rudeboy is not a prolific poster, and as there is little to report on re LJ, he probably sees little point in doing so. Please don't look for conspiracies...particularly when the guy has been extremely forthcoming with information when we have wanted it.

Won't be playing.

Let the club explain...

Won't be playing when? I wouldn't have thought too many would have expected him to be playing AFL against the Giants this week, so unless you mean won't be playing for the MFC anymore, then I'm not sure why you are so disappointed.

Rudeboy has gone quiet since he organised Liam to meet with the Collingwood president behind the clubs back.

He is a friend of Liam's looking after himself and what he considers to be best for Liam. He is no friend of the club.

You have no idea... and there is certainly no justification for your comment. Rudeboy has been active on these forums since that interview...but don't that get in the way of a good conspiracy.

Sorry Thomo, but i think being a close friend to Liam makes him a friend of the club.

Liam Jurrah wouldnt have played a single game of AFL if it wasnt for Rude Boy and others going above and beyond

So you two are fine with him going behind the clubs back and organising a private meeting with the Collingwood president, and a media appearance against the clubs wishes?

What he did to the club was disgraceful.

And as for being active since that interview, if you check the few posts he has made most of them are aggressively critical of the MFC administration. I think he wants Jurrah at Collingwood.

I couldn't give two shits about that. I just want him playing for the MFC.

Sorry Thomo, I think Rudeboy at the moment is worried about Liam and his welfare and well being. I have no doubt that would involve working with the MFC, and our welfare manager... not Eddie or the CFC.

Any discussion of collingwood is a bit far fetched and even if he wished that it could happen, he would have to convince Liam, then trade rules have to be complied with, so without free agency, he would be required to go through the draft or pre season draft, and I don't think thats an easy path (especially given his next appearance in court is October isn't it??)

It's an interesting conspiracy though.

In relation to PaulRB... are you referring to the comment made by Neeld that it's unlikely he will play for the Dees this season? if so I think thats pretty apparent given he has played one game, and his fitness base is pretty low. That and the fact there are only 3 games left, the last being an interstate trip to Freo that you would not risk underdone players would you?

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
