Chris Judd's chicken winging of Leigh Adams

Featured Replies

The fact is that he played a fantastic game with the one major blemish being the tackle. The MRP probably will give him the benefit of the doubt but it could easily be classified as intentional and then he would be in trouble.

why should there be any extenuating compromise in view towards the tackle simply because of the rest ofthe game.. ?????

Oh sorry your honour I shot him...but the rest of my life has been murder free....ffs

Pressure point.

2x eye gouging.

And now this.

You forgot something.

Brownlow for you Juddy.

Actually watching that now with the sound I have to say that the behaviour of the 7 commentators was only slightly less digraceful. Their inane giggling at Judds actions really backs up the thoughts of the man in the street that this bloke is treated defferently to the rest by the media mugs.

I thought exactly the same thing. The Swisse Vitamin King's commenting about a predecent set in 1931, was soft and embarrassing and insults the TV audience

Nice work, Juddy.

A real Captains moment.

Adams was helplessly pinned on the ground, so Pratt's "green ambassador" grabbed his arm and wrenched it back as far as it would go, causing excruciating pain and jeopardising his footy career. (Judd then got the free kick).

If the incident happened in reverse, it probably would have finished Judd's career, given he has dodgy shoulders.

Twice he's been caught eye-gouging.

I've described before on this forum an incident when he was playing for Caulfield Grammar v. St Kevins when he was being effectively tagged by that young Irish rookie who later came to Melb but didn't make it(can't recall his name) .Judd trod on his abdomen when he was down, and twisted his stops with his full weight on him, to try to break the tag.

It takes a special type of guy to perpetrate these deeds. I'm sure that one day he'll get what he deserves

.

"Fairest and best!!"

What a joke!

viscious, I don't know, but the act was, but was mostly that of a desperate man, who I think can see his dreams wasting away on the wind of time.

What a weak man?

He is the bastard who hits you when your not looking then runs when your still standing.

The worst sniper in our game today.

His day will come.

His day will come.

No it wont.

He will be free to play out the rest of his days sniping like the dog he is, remain exalted by all media people, and will probably retire from playing into a nice cushy little special comments guy and be thrown up to our faces every weekend.

That sniggering little laugh of his makes me want to break stuff. Hate this bloke.

You forgot something.

I just watched a bunch of related videos from that one. There were at least 5 dog acts, and I'm sure that's not all of them! He should get weeks for his actions last night.

Nick Walsh?

liked the north players response, forceful but nothing that would get them suspended. Judd really can be a mongrel can't he...

That's the first thing I thought, too. As a North fan I'd have been very pleased to see Swallow put Judd on his arse.

Was good to see the North players fly the flag, and instantly react and send Judd flying.

They are clearly a team with great respect, and caring for one another and look at the results they are now getting.

That's what our boys have to strive to build with each other!

... That sort of thing is precisely what the AFL must stamp out - it has a duty of care to the players to do so.

Agree. But it will be interesting to see whether the AFL's duty of care to its players is outweighed by its "duty of care" to its corporate sponsors (who use AFL players in PR) and its "duty of care" to what it perceives to be the AFL's "reputation".

"Nothing to see here"!!!

I would be absolutely astonished to see Judd held to account for this.

Expect this statement from Andrew DubmItriou: "The incident was clearly seen by the adjudicating umpire who quite rightly awarded player Judd a free kick for a cowardly and unprovoked attack by Kangaroos players. There is nothing in the video to suggest that Judd was doing anything untoward, but was merely attempting to assist an opponent to his feet. The MRP will however closely scrutinise the actions of several Kangaroos players for their attack on Judd."

But isn't he still on holiday?

Perhaps while the cat's away............

He won't go. As pathetic an argument as it is, he will claim he was tackling the opposition player.

Did anyone notice how Adams used his leg to try and kick Judd away while he was on the ground. Clearly he was in pain.

Nick Walsh?

That's right, thanks Nasher.

Walsh actually told me about it soon before the Judd draft at a sponsors function .

That's the first thing I thought, too. As a North fan I'd have been very pleased to see Swallow put Judd on his arse.

Yes, it was a very strong retaliatory shove by Swallow and a mate. Juddas went flying!

haha, obviously just a ninja in a carlscum disguise.

haha, obviously just a ninja in a carlscum disguise.

Don't know how many ninjas would do their shoulder pulling their doona up in the middle of the night.

I'm not sure what his reasoning would be to even do that? He has to get at least 2 weeks for that.

Given the ridiculous emphasis placed on injury by the MRP I hope North say he has severe joint damage, pulled several ligaments, has post traumatic stress disorder and contracted Hepatitis A from the incident.

I liked Swallow before last night. I think I love him now.

What a good captain, standing up for his troops like that. I thought it was great.

Perhaps Juddas' day has already come. Money can't buy you premierships.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
