Great work on the site guys.

Just signed up.

A big thanks too to Nasher for stepping into the breach.. Top effort.

life member... sweeeet

Thanks for all the work done to keep this site going.

Been following the Demons since I enjoyed the 1948 Grand Finals. Haven't posted before but always read this site.

My donation is in.

I'd just like to say thanks the Nasher for taking on the responsibilities here.

And also to Andy for his great work carrying the task.

# Now, can we get some people to talk to Tim @ 'ology to see if we can't sort that out & get it up & running?

It's not good, with nothing but that B-F site.

I'm already a Life Member, but I'd like to tip in a bit more. The donation page gives me no joy. Any chance of someone posting the paypal account number/link?

Thanks Demonland, Thanks Nasher, big up yourself.

The donate page will be restored soon. It was one of the files in the root folder that did not make it over in the move. I have a copy of it and as soon as Nasher gives me FTP access I will be able to upload it. I would post a link to the paypal page but yesterday whenever I would post the direct link it didn't seem to work. Stay tuned.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Having hours of enjoyment on the site.

Waiting for my annual to expire then buying another annual. Refuse to buy a lifetime because I know I'll go 'but I already did my bit!' in two or three years. Annual means that I'm both going to continue donating AND that you guys keep getting something.

Thanks so much for the work by both Andy and Nasher.

I am also now a life member, subject to Paypal's eccentricities. Am i allowed to talk to lesser supporters on the site? Seriously, thanks for all your efforts Nasher. It makes supporting the club from a distance a little more bearable.

Can we start betting on ourselves when it comes time for the annual forum footy games?

There we go, a paid up Lifetime member.

All your time is greatly appreciated and I totally enjoy reading the posts.

Been a member supported of the club ever since I was a five year old and asked my dad who I should follow, unlike most Carlton supporters, he said follow Melbourne as they'll give you a good go, and so it began which has followed onto my son and my 3 grand-daughters......tradition continues.... :)

Hey Demonland...maybe introduce another level... Like all good marketing...upsell !!! lol

Maybe

Annual..and thats fantastic to those that preferor afford this

Life... an honorable option.

but in deferance to our monicker and situation maybe another grade:

I humbly suggest. Hell... Member of Hell....it does as you would think come ...after Life..

Just like the MFC you could offer the opportunity to part with more money for the greater good :) I would...Hell, I spend enought time here..lol

just an idea :) lol

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

  • PREGAME: Gold Coast

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
