Here..here.....Thoroughly agree

There we go, a paid up Lifetime member. All your time is greatly appreciated and I totally enjoy reading the posts. Been a member supported of the club ever since I was a five year old and asked my dad who I should follow, unlike most Carlton supporters, he said follow Melbourne as they'll give you a good go, and so it began which has followed onto my son and my 3 grand-daughters......tradition continues....

I would just be happy with players that want to play good hard honest football that give 100% all the time, not when they feel like it, and so far, they haven't felt like it......

I took my 3 grand-daughters along, they had a good time. The weather was kinder this year than last year, not as hot and no rain which I thought there might have been. Pretty much same format as last year except this year throughout the morning Robbo was onstage talking to the different coaches one-on-one, you could hear from anywhere you were at Luna Park, then at the end Robbo introduced the 2012 playing group, then the 8 man leadership group, then the 2 co-captains. There were a few no shows, Joel McDonald, Ricky Pettard & Liam Jurrah, cannot remember if there was any others. A pretty reasonable turnout.

Did anyone notice the Melbourne table number at the Brownlow.......No:64.....xfiles.....

Hmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about - Players with character that will bleed red & blue - Strong bodies, bodies with a touch of mongrol in them. - Players that don't have a 'that wasn't a bad quarter by us, that should be enough' - Players AND supporters that are happy about nearly winning. - Supporters that clap a team off the ground and say you tried hard, when you definitely didn't. - A coach that says 'I don't a rats who you are, if you do that again, you're off the ground until you can do it my way' - A coach that says to the team, 'JUMP' and the team says how high. - A coach that says that he does not want his team to be a 'feeder' team (like in the EPL) for the heavyweight teams of the AFL, to come in and say come and play with us, play with a real 'friggin' team that loves to win. - A coach that tells the FD, CEO, whoever listens, that this is the way it will be.....................

I agree with previous comments, but fingers also need to be pointed at players too. A basic thing you have drummed into you when you start playing football. Man up, make a bloody contest.....How friggin' hard is that?? Young or old, they all did it today with exception of Mckenzie. For gods' sake Melbourne players, play with pride in yourselves. My heart was bleeding today..............

I had to wonder where I was today??? I had just come from my 7 year-old grand-daughter's NETA (netball for beginners) match, where they all run around in a group, one gets the ball and then instead of going with their first option of throwing the ball to someone who is free, they wait for 30 seconds and then throw to a contest. BUT these are young girls and boys that are just learning the game. WHEREAS, I sit and watch guys that have been playing the game for years doing exactly the same thing, for Christ sake, go with your first option and you won't get either caught or do something stupid and give it to someone else who is just about to be tackled.......it ain't frigging rocket science. and by the way, as long as I'm having a whinge......has jack Watts slept around with all the players' partners as I lost count the number of time he had made space, and was by himself jumping up and down, they look at him and then kick it to a contested situation....for god's sake, have confidence in your team mates........

When I was 5, I asked my Dad who I should barrack for? My Dad was a Carlton fan, and surprisingly he said to me...Follow Melbourne, they won't let you down, and so my passion started . That passion has been passed onto my son and my grand-daughter. BUT, unfortunately that passion is becoming disillusioned, especially after insepid performances like last night night....I was truly gutted. I thought that we must've have had a new game plan and our 'sub' was sitting in the outer on the wing......cause the bloody ball ended up there....... Something has to change, I'm getting horribly sick of this crap......why does every other club always look bigger than us...is it my tv set or what??????

Jones has got to go, instead of going with his first option, he waits and gets run down.......as a result of this a turnover occurs and before we know it, it's back into their 50. I really think the 'Jones' boy thinks he is better than he really is. McLean's skills have dropped off from what they were....he's just a shadow of the guy he was... Let these two have a rest and give Marric and if ready Whelan......... I was really impressed with the first quarter, I was even lulled into a false sense of think that we could win.....in the 2nd half it was like I was transported back in time to last year......

I've followed them since I was a little tacker, er..sum 51 years now, just an observation and wondered what everyone else thought. And as far as 'will you give them away', I will only stop following them when I can't breathe anymore......hopefully I've got a few more years left????? :D

Just an observation, but for a team that has been training since October, shouldn't we have run out the match better than we did? I thought we didn't have any legs in the last quarter.

I was there, as I always am. It really questions your belief in them. I thought we took a step forward last week, but then 3 steps back. I was sitting in the olympic stand and did anyone happen to notice that the players run flat-chat to the interchange, it's the hardest they run at anything, it's as if they can't wait to get off!!!! Would anyone agree with that?

I know, everyone seems to know about it. Maybe the AFL is just waiting for the dust to settle after the GF?

And where does this 5 million figure come from. He's not after the money. He's not coming back for the money, it's for family and not not the money. He can make more from endorsements than playing.
