im gonna say 2011, then its going to play out like this

Someone else: Bartel was a star

Me: he was good in the grand-final, he wasnt a star all year around

Someone else: his a brownlow winner, what more do you want

Me: Yes but he wasnt a star in the season that they actually won the grand final, it was more of an all round performance.

Then it will turn into the difference between what peoples opinions of A Grades are, Stars, Super Stars, Elite players, ect ect and this thread will be de-railed in an argument about something which has been done to death.

Just forget I said it.

Forget you said it? Hard to forget one of the stupidest things I've read on here.

If Patton knows there's money and can see a way of returning home to a solid club (yes, we'll have to make a climb up the ladder), it's just a matter of a key position player exchange and potentially a first round pick. Whoever fails to hold down a KP spot come Round 22 next year would be on the table. I'm thinking it could be one of our copious KPDs. If a player wants to leave and refuse to sign a contract, there's not much an AFL club can do. It couldn't happen to a grubbier bunch.

Olisik, DA and CIP are simply impressed how you can make a statement that you don't need any stars to win a Premiership and expressing this in your ability to produce "bubbles of nothing" substance to support your claim.

I think Sweet Puff summed it up well, don't you ?

Please don't respond I'm busy contacting emergency services to help you out of that hole you're in.

Firstly it was an opinion that a team of A grade players are more likely to win a premiership then a few stars and mediocre players and secondly i didnt want to go into to much detail into something which is not directly relevant to the thread and the fact that there is no chance of us getting Cameron or Patton, in future please dont try read into opinions to much in an attempt to derail the thread away from the point that its an idiotic idea to continue to ramble on about how good opposition players are when we have no hope in hell of getting them to melbourne. The simple point seems to be hurting your brain.

Troll. I've been called a lot of things on footy forums but never a troll. Nice one.

"Firstly it was an opinion that a team of A grade players are more likely to win a premiership then a few stars and mediocre players"

You didn't say that at all, but remarkably you're still wrong. Love to see this team of A grade players, none of whom are stars or mediocre. They must be Russian socialists all playing for a fixed wage.

Troll gets thrown around on here as the go-to whenever someone doesn't agree with another.

A troll is someone with an explicit, and usually pointless, agenda to annoy a person or a group of people.

For longtimers here think Old Xaverian.

For newbies, think the people that go around twitting to McLean that he should be delisted all day.

Firsts for everything ;)

I said it at a high level along with many other things in relation to Cameron and Patton and for some reason people chose to highlight one thing which has already been argued to death in other threads to dig deep and read into rather then continue talking about what this thread is actually about.

I would rather more A players like Watts and Trengove then to trade them for a Cameron.

Although he didn't say he should be delisted. But yes, one could argue the case that it was inferred.

He asked him whether 'he had finally been delisted?' so it wouldn't be a stretch to infer that he thinks he should be delisted...

Although you didn't say 'it wouldn't be a stretch to infer.' But yes, one could argue the case that it's similar to 'one could argue the case it was inferred.'

In fact, it would be fair to infer it's exactly the same, ergo, "Yes, that's what I said".

You know a thread has become pathetic when people become desperate enough to resort to using grammatical errors as a point of argument.

Its great that you payed attention to grade 2 English classes, if AD saw your post he may even call it a "Stroke of Genius"

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
