you're ********* kidding me. we better not take this into Round 1.

Ya'll gather round now and I'll tell ye's a story 'bout the Meeyylbon Deeemons!

Hot diggity dawg!

This is the one we're used to:

I definitely like the old one better than the new one. The new one seems to have a different baseline that just doesn't sound right to me.

Yeah, that is definitely the same song, just remastered and cleared up. It's exactly the same. They haven't added or changed anything. If you sit close to speakers at the MCG when it's playing you can definitely hear the banjos clearer.

Sounds clearer, better.

Prefer what we had. God I love our song though.

I like the new one , a fuller sound , more dynamic . And the banjo is just simply sublime ! (I have no idea what this means but it sounds intelligent)

Cheers

Didn't we have this exact same thread last year?

IMO it sounds great, a lot more dynamic than the old '60s master of the song that we've been hearing for years.

Is that banjo maroon?

I want the David Bridie version:

Get's the blood coursing through my red and blue veins just as it always has ... but one day I'd love to hear the second verse belting out, just like it did in the 50's and 60s.

I think it sounds like a rather tinny version of what we have had for years.

Love em dulcit sounds.... Angus Young would love the banjo licks ... Keep it... Was this a vote thread??

I agree, something just doesnt sound right

Relax, reality is no one will be able to tell the difference when its pumping through the MCG PA.

Also, is it just me, or does anyone else feel this remaster was actually implemented at the start of 2011?

Not sure about the start of 2011, but there was a thread about this last year and it was uploaded to MFC's youtube channel in October last year.

The new version has been sped up slightly. Enough to irritate me. I prefer the older mix

I dont like it either. Really annoys me how certain things that have no reason to be changed get changed.
