Clark's game yesterday was a fantastic tribute to his desire to perform at the level his enormous salary demands. Geelong supporters near me at the game yesterday started the game deriding him yelling" is that worth 3.2 million?" etc.

Soon they had to shut up. ( apart from booing as he ran in to kick for goal after that sensational mark running back with the flight).

If he had been playing for Geelong and marked the way he did for us, he'd have kicked a dozen goals.

I was absolutely filled with admiration for his efforts yesterday, and proudly clapped his efforts amongst the silence.

With Clark the crash and bash forward making space it may be an opportunity for Watts to fill the space provide another skill option

Really can see the two working well together within the forward line

Perhaps those derided selectors and coaches have got it right??

Clark is a legend... Deserves all the cash, give him even more if he wants it! haha.

I am a man.

Clark is a man.

I love Clark.

Clark is my man crush.

I am re-quoting this because never has there been a truer word said. Col Sylvia could learn a thing or two from this guy.

He hasn't just said thanks for the money he is earning every cent.

Um I'm pretty sure he'd be on similar coin to Buddy/Pavlich. Let's not go overboard.

Has been decent so far.

For the record, does anybody actually know the exact figure of Mitch Clark's salary. As a player his value isnt the 700K or near figures that are bandied about, but his value to OUR team given his KPF status and the low salary cap we pay etc is worth the 700K at this time.

One of the few things weve done right in a long time. Absolute star, pretty much the only thing making us watchable right now

Apparently........according to the great one Leigh "Lethal" Matthews, Brisbane will get more service out of Ben Hudson than Melbourne will of Mitch Clark....

Someone's lost their marbles.

Lethal basically admitted last night that Clark had done mkuch more than he would have expected and been good as a forward. Mitch Clark is the only reason I go at the moment!

Not sure why Mitch Clark cops such hate in the media, if anything I thought I had underated him as with the rest of the AFL world. Him Frawley and Jones are probably hte only players atm that beat their oppanent or at least break even. THey seem to hav ea great williness to win - hopefully they can spread this to the rest of the players.....eventually....before it is too late....

Loving Mitch, and what he has brought to the Club and most importantly, to the team in 2012. Obviously trained/trains hard, puts in 100% every week, and obviously has leadership qualities.

However...

Is this credit to Mitch for setting those personal standards when starting with a new team, or is this all he knows from his time spent with the Lions? The level of professionalism shown by Mitch has been second to none, but is this just a sign of what life is like at other AFL Clubs, especially where you have played with and under the likes of J Brown, S Black, L Power, M Voss, etc.

Just throwing it out their for discussion, and by no means am I saying/meaning anything other than positive words/thoughts toward Mitch.

There's plenty of examples in recent history of very talented players who were immersed in great culture that still failed to come on because of their own brains - Nick Davis at Sydney, Travis at Brisbane and so on. If Mitch is super professional then it's because he wants to be. Being at Brisbane around those guys might've helped, but fundamentally it's got to already be in his mind for it to work.

This bloke has been everything I hoped he would be, and more.

The one thing I wish he wasn't is a decent back up ruck...

I hate to see him in there and if would like to see a Jamar/Martin or Martin/Gawn or Martin/Spencer combo used in the future.

So do I, but given Sellar was given the flick this week and no second ruck came in, we're going to hate parts of the Essendon match.

Come to think of it, actually, I expect we're going to hate most of the Essendon match!

It's a shame we don't have a fit Martin this week...he was awesome against Essendon last year.

It's only a little bit of a shame as he's largely been rubbish this year.

he's been carrying the hip injury for alot of the year, a bit unfair.

I'm not to pessimistic about this game .We beat them last year and they have been training hard all year .Our half back line should give Clark a few shots

and maybe Tappy and Joel Mac can keep it in our forward line for a long time . Sylvia might pull his finger out now that his career is on the line.Watts will star.Demons by 3 points! (I'm that confident).

Prophetic!

Wrong backmen suggested to be moved forward, but bloody close!

Then again, who would've thought Frawley would be out with injury and we'd still move Garland out of the backline?

Inspired.
