Now that the channel is underway - I would be interested in Demonland posters thoughts on the commentary, the graphics and the shows.

I don't think you are showing the Dees v Pies game enough :)

Commentary is the same old same old as far as I can tell - can anybody tell me what Hudson's background is... I know he has been around for a long time on FTA, but I am interested in how he got to where he is. I actually don't mind him and his nerdy cats supporting geeky ways...

The shows are much the same as I always remember them being, just a few new faces, but it seems that they all pretty much follow the same format as in the past.

Just don't have Alistair Lynch commentate on our games. Lacks credibility.

A few thoughts..

AFL 360 is great on all nights - particularly Gerard Whately (and Robert Murphy when he's on).

One the Couch is good as always.

Hudson was a good acquisiton, seems very unbaised and knowledgable - although I havent watched a Geelong game yet.

Dwayne Russel is awful to listen to - annoying voice, comments and general presense.

David King is decent, Lynch isnt.

Frawley is entertaining as always.

Those Eddie ads for EMT - hilarious! The guy is just so smarmy and sleezy.

Dwayne used to be my coach many years ago and he was a flogger back then.

Nothing's changed.

Tell your boss to get rid of him.

Otherwise, the channel is great.

The Good:

AFL 360 / Gerard Whateley

The Couch / Gerard Healy

Anthony Hudson

Jason Dunstall

Paul Roos

Mark McClure

The Bad:

Tony Shaw

Alastair Lynch

Danny Frawley

Liam Pickering

The Horrendous:

Dwayne "Super Goal" Russell

Dermott "Can't make a simple comment without waffling on and mentioning himself at least three times so that he sounds more intelligent than he is" Brereton

Can someone tell Gerard Healy that there are other ways of saying "right now" than "at the present time." Saying it every now and again makes you sound smart. Saying only that makes you sound like a dumb person trying to sound smart. For future reference:

Right now

At the moment

At this stage

Currently

Going forward (probably avoid this one)

I'm sure there are tons of others, and introducing even one into Healy's vocabulary will make him twice as bearable for me to listen to.

Also, the word "horrendous" should be banned. It sounds like pointless grandstanding whenever I hear anyone say it.

Dwayne "FROM THE PAINT, THIS COULD BE FOR NINE!!!!!!!! Elects not to go for it. Gives it some shoe! Horrendous!" Russell needs to be retired immediately, or at the very least banned from all Melbourne games.

At the present time I find Alistair Lynch horrendous.

Disappointed with foxtel, all matches live, dees vs hawks was not broadcast live, I watched it 9.30 Sunday morning!

Except for the audio problems all day during the Roos, Dogs clash.

BTW, can't stand smug, arrogant Paul (Swannies this, Swannies that) Roos (biggest [censored] of all time)....poor old Ruciotto sounds like he's ready to cry and Brereton states the obvious.

David King is annoying.

I watched it live. It was probably a replay you watched.

Ah commentators They are so much better footballers since they have retired. Picking out players faults and being very critical of everything except the estabished stars who can do no wrong.

75% of football journalists and commentators are clueless. I am convinced that many general fans who watch a lot of the games know more than they do.

If I, and half the posters, don't know more about the modern game and current players then Danny Frawley I'll eat my hat.

I watched it live after battling the barbitch from Pre-Tentiousness. she is a man hater I'm sure..

3 weeks for 3 games and the barbitch doesn't want footy in her empty cocktail lounge.

Go free to Air... Yeah Yeah.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
