Membership Tally 2012

Do pet memberships count towards the tally? I'd like to get another membership to add to the count (in honour of Jimmy) but I'd like it to count.

Hawks ones do according to my mate - thats why they have so many members!!

Some years ago my Daughter bought our dog a membership at the Bombers ( Junior membership ) they sent us info asking her to re join for 3 years.

We all used get a hell of laugh out of it.

I'll be organising a membership for myself within the next week (haven't had the financial wherewithal for it until then). I want to do my bit, no matter how small, to increase the club's membership tally.

Still much too early, but i agree that the club needs to get on the front foot and drive Jim's endeavour hard. Wait a week for the dust to settle, then strongly campaign that it was Jimmy who wanted to see us reach 40,000 members. Honour him by helping the MFC reach 40,000. If you haven't signed up, then now is the time to do so.

Totally agree-- we should do a marketing drive in a very sensitive way.Such as Jimma still wants 40000.,as long as Sam Stynes agrees.

Great TotalDeelight.

But remember this is only a football club.

Buy it if you can afford it

Both my dog and cat are members. I didn't think we counted Pet memberships but if all the other clubs are doing it we would be mad not to. For all those who cant afford an additional full membership buy a friend a 3 match membership or buy Puss and Rover a membership. A three game membership is $90 and a pet membership is $30. Even if it isnt counted the $30 builds up the coffers.

LS My daughter did not enrole her as a dog but by her name as a junior member

EG. Brandy Smith.

So Pigs ,dogs and Rats count?

So Pigs ,dogs and Rats count?

Well If a member bought a Pig, Dog or Rat a membership at the Hawks, then yes they do count from what I've been told. I think Collingwood do the same - count their pets as members. Not 100% sure but this is what I've been told.

If they start counting towards ours, I will have to buy my pet Lionfish a membership! ;)

Mmemberships listed at 27,868 as of today. A slight jump. Does anyone believe that the events of yesterday will help membership numbers?

+ another 1.

Always wanted a lion fish but the minister for fisheries (My wife) isn't a big fan though.

well be getting ours ( my wife and i ) at the game round 1 as we do every year . I think a lot of people do the same .

Yep, the old man and I do it it every year.

If at this time you are being a lazy [censored], sitting on your fat arse not renewing your membership, then I hope the club hunts you down, kicks you in the nuts, then makes you pay up.

I was going to wait until we won a premiership, but now is the time.....I'll be signing up my three kids round 1.....i will also sign up people that i know support the MFC.....i will also buy a couple of junior memberships, which i'm going to donate too my local primary school....for the kid like me that had to be the Demon supporter...this is my pledge!!!

So Pigs ,dogs and Rats count?

What about budgies ? And would I have to change their names to Nergal and Deumos ?

Cheers

And what about the women jaded?

Buy a membership. Jimma wanted this club to be big proud & powerful.

Remember his speech the day we re aligned with the MCC. That is his wish. We should honour that.

Edited by why you little

And what about the women jaded?

A very good question.

Maybe just a kick up the bum.

And what about the women jaded?

And the skinny, boney a**es... .

And the up and go kind ( non lazy) ...

We don't discriminate at Demonland, do we !?

Jaded ??

I'm sure that Jaded's mentions of lazy [censored], fat arse and kicks in the nuts are merely non gender specific terms of endearment.

How could it possibly percieved otherwise?

Not long now.

March 31st comparison:

2009 - we had 27,128 members

2010 - we had 27,595 members

2011 - we have 32,386 members

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
