New Forum Software

I've installed the latest version of the forum software. Please be patient whilst I iron out any bugs and settle on a theme for the look and feel of the site. I know people are set in their ways and get used to the way it used to look but the update was necessary .

In the move we seem to have lost all the avatars so you will have to either find your old one or find a new one. Like the Dees this is a new beginning .

Let me know if you run into any bugs or issues and I will attempt to sort it out.

Looks very clean on the iphone while im in transit (how i read 'land 90% of the time these days) and loaded up much faster IMHO. Cheers.

Colour scheme is no good, can't read the red on the blue.

I seem to have lost the "reply" button when I'm on the iPhone.

How can I quote someone's earlier post?

You either go to the reply box at the bottom of the page or hit the quote button on the post you want to respond to which will quite that post in the reply box at the bottom. Not sure why they've done that...

Yikes, drastic! I'm flexible and adaptable to change - I'll get used to it :-)

I'm not!

But as I have little say I will go along with it.

The red bar at the top is too fluro. I'm having an epileptic fit over here!

Go for a darker red please, like the one from the old site.

As I said, it's a work in progress but attitudes like yours make it difficult to get motivated to spend hours of work to please people who receive it for free.

Well done Andy. The new model has a much cleaner look about it, and the banner is brilliant! Thanks for all the hard work.

ps. If an old fart like me can can quickly get used to the changes, then anyone can.

Preferred the old version on the IP communities app for the iPhone. The new version doesn't seem to be any difference between the app and just using a browser. Anyway just some feedback.

Please don't take me seriously, Andy.

I would come on here and post if the colour sceme was purple and yellow.

There is a reason it is the most visited fan site in the AFL.

It's a tremedous site and really well run.

Which at the minute has a fluro red band across the top...

Well having to change avatar definitely help because the members with Tom Scully avatars has to change their images.

Sorry I didn't mean to get cranky and you are a paid up life member so I guess you aren't using the site for free. Sorry about that. I'm just not feeling well today and I was up most of the night ironing out bugs in what was supposed to be a seamless upgrade. I have had to redo the skin from scratch so it will take a bit of tweaking to get it to a state that I am happy with. Also we lost all of our avatars which peed me off too.

Check out the red bar now. I have muted it a little. Also different screens will display it differently.

Anyway it's a good time for everyone to check out their profile settings and adjust you preferences to suit. Also have play around with the site as there are many new features that will enhance your Demonland experience.

Please provide feedback. I welcome it but just remember that I am working my ass off to get things look as slick as possible.

I like it, it will take a little while to get to know how to use it properly but it's got a nice 'feel' to it.

Good work

nice and clean feel - I like it

Thanks mate again for the great site! I haven't forgotten about becoming a paid up member either, will do that soon.

The red looks great Andy.

Just on the Avatars. It's funny, I saw mine in my profile as soon as we moved but had trouble finding it, so I saved the picture from my profile onto my comp an then loaded it again.

That makes sense trust me. Everyone has their avatar in their profile I would wager, if they 'save picture' onto their comp and reload it - all would be fine.

So if you lost your avatar check your profile!

The site colours appear significantly different on my iMac as compared to my other computers.

Also, in re-doing my profile I realised I had listed a bloke who, apparently, left our club last week.

Edit post doesn't appear to work in IE8, when I click the Save Changes button nothing happens, same when I click the Use Full Editor button.

Yeah, isn't that funny. Got IE at work.

I prefer Chrome at home.

Thanks Andy.

I appreciate this site, and its given me a way of putting Ideas out and learning from others. My only downside has been the derogatory comments from some postors.

But generally it's been beneficial and I've learnt, and caught up in areas I had fallen behind, after turning my back on the game in the past.

The ideas that can be generated from these sites has to be one of the positives that can influence our club to get back up on it's feet & become relevant again.

There is a lot of passion & interest in The Dees and this site helps to promote this.

Lets keep it positive & constructive.

Mine was lost and wasn't in profile. Had to reload.

Good job on the banner Andy. Looks good.

I'm fiddling around with Zoom to see which read feels better. Definitely checking my preferences. :)

Who was it ? TS ?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
