Right now I honestly would not blame supporters dropping off this joke of a club. Bailey you are an utter disgrace.

Is there a white flag policy? Can't we just stop this rubbish? Can't believe there's going to be another half of football. Biggest winning margin in VFL/AFL history coming up.

This is probably the end of our scully hopes aswell. He will be sufferring similar losses, but may as well earn a million while at it.

I honestly feel sick to the stomach. Have never been so embarrassed to support the MFC in my life.

Roos or Malthouse please, ffs.

It's over. I no longer support this club.

The straw has finally broken the camel's back.

I'm sick of feeling like a loser. I'll leave that to the football admin at MFC.

Bunch of pea-hearts. The rumours are true... MFC is a joke.

Waste of 30 years of my life.

[censored] you MFC.

That's the spirit we need right now !

Have a cup of tea Barry .

It's one thing not to have respect for the coach, but do the players have any respect for themselves?

Well said.

Not to mention respect for the club.

What is the club going to say and do about this?

Im just absolutely disgusted with this team.

There is absolutely no positives what so ever to take from this.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

I cannot believe i am watching this. Incredible. I really just did not think this was possible. Ever.

Something has got to give this cant go on

I refuse to have this sort of effort put up by a side they

Thats the spirit this club breeds, quite sad. I dont blame Barry at all.

Why did we bother driving down to Geelong?

We coulda just said look we aint coming. We aint good enough to compete against you. We'd rather just train at Casey.

The only question is can Geelong top Fitzroy's belting they gave us as Waverly yonks back???

but its ok peoples....were only developing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first thing to develop properly....a backbone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the worst Melbourne side of all time

The players have made a statement as to how they feel about the coach today.

Yeh no problems pal. You keep finding 'the spirit'. I'll get on with life elsewhere.

Enjoy today and the rest of your miserable MFC-supporting career.

190 points belting in 1979

The administration sold the rebuild to us, and it was the last roll for a lot of long suffering supporters. It has failed. I fear for this club. The culture of failure beat everyone.

Positive:

If we just go home, and the margin is over 500-600 points, Collingwood won't be #1 on the ladder at the end of the round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
