It seems that, once again, truth wins the day. There actually is a UBO dc.

UNIVERSITÉ DE BRETAGNE OCCIDENTALE

Based in the Breton port city of Brest, UBO in June 2023 declared an ambition to be known as the "Oceanic university of France". While this aspiration led to some concern that other disciplines might be downgraded, it suits the university’s location and existing profile.

Founded in 1971, UBO has a roll of around 22,000 students, about two-thirds of them undergraduates, both in Brest and at its base in Quimper.

The 14,500 undergraduates divide between the faculties of letters and human science, sports and exercise science, science and technology, medicine and health, dentistry and law, economics and management.

The student association motto is 'Brest is best'.

Also, what is going on with the departments there?

sports and exercise science - okay

science and technology - yep

medicine and health - mm-hmm

dentistry and law - WHAT?

Perhaps bitters, perhaps. I went to this job once where the bloke had been dead in a spa-bath for three weeks. The jets in the bath were still going when we walked in. The boss wasn’t too happy when I titled the job “human soup” within the report. I haven’t been able to eat a lamb shank since.

Ugh. Even regular spas accumulate a layer of white fat residue on the sides just like stewpots do if you don't clean them out right away. Knew a guy who had to drain out and scrape the sides of the AIS heated spas once a fortnight. You wouldn't think all those athletes would leave behind so much fat.

I... respect the necessity of very dark humour. #ganzersyndrome

Bloody hell Goffy!

I am trying to unremember reading that.

My Australia Day snags won't be the quite same today!

Happy Australia day folks.

With so many woke wankers telling me what I should or should or should not celebrate, I went and purchased an Aussie flag to adorn The Manor’s dog ute.

First time I’ve done that.

( The flag was made in China and purchased from a Lebanese operated thrift shop.  That’s multiculturalism at its best! )

They're celebrating by having a national day of telling Muslims they don't belong.

I wish I was kidding.

Meanwhile I've been trying to locate some plastic straws on the black market.

Seems to be a similar situation in Gaza.

Having a terrible time finding a reliable supplier of leaded petrol, too!

I get mine flown in from Cambodia.

Better not. The area is famous for its natural salt production and impenetrable hedges.

We could combine freight costs.

I import a lot of Sassafras oil from the old Khmer govt.

The old jewel in the Crown eh..

Do they still bring tiffen out for those that like to safari?

Might organise a hunt .

Looking for Rickshaw and Pallanquin operators as we speak.

Bitters prefers the pallanquin.

I think the bumpy roads play havoc with his gout.

Me-I rough it in the rickshaw and hunt straight from the seat.

If theres a duck at 12 O'clock and I yell DUCK It can really slow down proceedings.

I better not post here in case grapeviney sees it and takes another point off me and bans me for life

Why does the cricket team have two all rounders?

It's not even like one of them gets to bowl much .

Carey is a good wkeeper but he's no batsman.

We are effectively two batsmen short.

If we lose, it’s because Head and Labuschagne were abysmal this match.

Interesting also that we declared behind the WI score and we are within that deficit now.

6 for 60 while playing with a broken toe… 🤯

why did smith take the single with 8 runs required and expose hazelwood to joseph

incredibly dumb at that stage

Un-Australian.

I'm glad we lost.

Hopefully they'll learn to shut up and just play cricket.

Bad games.

But lost at selecting two all rounders.

We don't need six bowlers given the quality of four of them.

It's just silly choosing Greene and Marsh.

One maybe.

Also there must be other options other than Carey who averages around 23.

But credit to a great effort from a young Wi team.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
