Hey! Don’t forget when I first joined DL you made me cry by telling me I’m too positive! Does the name “Pollyanna” ring a bell? It should coz that’s what you called me. Now you’ve an issue with me being negative??!!

That's a shame, was hoping you might have had the gift.

Gift? GIFT???? How on earth is wrapping bits of wool around each other with sticks a gift????

LOL I went to a Catholic girls school and they made us learn knitting. Sister Margaret Mary said we’d need to be able to knit our husbands jumpers. I asked her what if we don’t end up with a husband coz maybe we don’t want one. I got detention. True story.

I'm waiting to hear  @Redleg acknowledge my outstanding football judgement for correctly predicting that Max would back up against Norf.

The above mentioned dared to suggest that I had been overindulging in the fruits of the vine. That, of course, is not in itself offensive...... but ...... to suggest that chateau cardboard was my intoxicant of choice is extremely rude!

Duly acknowledged and you no doubt will acknowledge my correct statement that the Schach would debut for us Saturday.

If I told you I love ❤️ Malibu the drink, would you hold it against me.

It doesn’t come in cardboard btw.

He chooses to live in far flung Romsey!
Bagging my suburb is almost a hobby to him, but at least here in Snorbs we enjoy clement temperatures.

My guess is both already blue and given long enough needles WSW could make them red.

My God what a disgusting thought! Why am I thinking about bitters balls?

Don’t worry WCW, Rustic Romsey is fast vanishing into the architectural beauty of housing estates and fast food outlets. I suspect Uncles estate is rapidly being surrounded by neighbours who would be unfamiliar with a cheese platter and red wine.

Although it’s a tight fit, I’ve found that one of my MFC long sox keep my package snug and warm. Just a thought for you to consider, Uncle.

Thanks but no thanks Neil.

Due to their prior location I don't envision using your "long sox" for any purpose.

Let's see... is that gouda, a blue, and maybe a cheddar?  Appreciate the unique but delicious inclusion of toasted olive bread on the side!

I notice DP that there is no bottle on the table - more evidence, as we all suspected, that his red comes from a cask?

Ooo very good observation NC...  we all know BBO wouldn't have a singular glass.  I suspect you're right about the hidden cask

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
