You are not saying I hope OD, that you wanted to continue with Darwin are you?

If nothing else and you are looking for a reason to have stopped it, just ask the players or someone in the FD.

Good riddance I say.

I have only one problem where is the replacement money coming from? All I hear is wishy washy comments about increased membership,  sale of merchandise and more money from sponsors. All of which is BS that I can see. The only thing  that drives those things is winning lots of games, playing one extra game at the G will IMO not drive up funds. We also have trouble winning at the G playing away from the G seems to give a better chance of winning. IMO you could form an argument that playing the extra game increases the chance of a lose which would drive down finances.

I understand members want more games at the G but there is a cost of returning the game that everyone is happy to ignore until the profit for 2020 is announced.

I have just come from Darwin and am now in Cairns and I hope this doesn’t make me a racial profiler, but I look at every young indigenous boy I see and wonder if they can play footy.

We certainly did the right thing ending the Darwin game. It must be debilitating for the players.

You could say it is part of our evolution as a club ... ?

This thread just keeps on breaking news and educating the masses.

In the interests of further education

The cherry market is subject to huge manipulation. SA crops being introduced late into the market as drought conditions are indicated as prompting a shortage. NE Vic has supplies at $7 a kg for seconds (or Casey as we call them) while Yea cherries were $30 for5 kg (Caseys)

Global headwinds could impact on Banana prices as Josh and Mathias prepare (scare) us for disaster while praising their economic management in retaining a shallow surplus. Thank god we have such giants of fiscal responsibility to help us through the festive season.

The reaction s in the real economy are remote from the considerations of the Canberra bubble. Fortunately ScoMo is reported to be in the pacific islands somewhere. No doubt feasting on bananas.

And some people have stupidly suggested closing this thread down, thereby denying us all this type of important information.

To think that this thread is probably the only thread on DL, that doesn't have constant personal attacks on other posters.

It is the citadel of important information circulation and polite intelligent discussion.

I enjoy the symbolic red, crimson of the cherry. In the right light it has shades of red and blue. It is a well rounded fruit with a hard core pip, a tough skin protecting the rich and firm flesh. It is truly the fruit of the demon supporter.

I find bananas too practical coming with their weird yellow brown shading., and what's with their bendy curved spine thing. Their skin covering being an easily disposable container is environmentally friendly whic is a fine feature.

Both are ideal for smoothies but the cherry smoothie if properly prepared is the peak.

The only negative with the cherry is just what do you do with the pip?

Our standards are well known. Nothing lower than the highest possible. Nothing less will be tolerated.

We are the Everest of standards.

WIth such indelicate comments, it is understandable that she was your last girlfriend.

Generally, standards are high on this thread, with the exception of one or two, who continue to express their crude and inane peccadilloes.

Strangely, these exceptions are much loved and cherished, so there is hope for you 640.

640MD has been given a 3 day banana ban for lowering the thread standards.

But, as with the AFL, 2 days have been suspended pending any further breach.

Why am I not surprised that this sensational piece of news from the world of art has been totally overlooked here?

I too wondered why this was not mentioned

I assumed it was secret banana business

Am I correct in saying someone paid $120000 for this

Now that price makes it very appealing

Correct. And not long afterwards, some doofus ate the banana.

Yes that was the artist who pocketed the money and then ate the banana! The world gets more looney by the day.

Thank you.

I apologised  not for the indelicate remarks so much that the Joke is So,  so  old, that I thought most members would have heard it a dozen times before. but maybe they are at the age that they forget things.   I know I do !

Go Dees !!
