It has been gravely ill for some timeย  DC but it was delivered the coup de gras last Wednesday.ย

My interest in professional sport has been restricted to the MFC for some time. These suspensions give me a very small glimmer of hope. I actually watched the highlights of yesterday's match. First time for this tour.ย

Yes deiter, you do disrespectfully label posters and call posters names. Both of those were put downs, but i understand you cannot see that. And I'll add another of your spurious judgements here:

people like you who seem to believe 'My country right or wrong'.

You don't know me. You jump to conclusions on what other posters think and then go on wild rants with little relevance to what they actually wrote. The 'Ethans of the world'ย post wasn't even quoting him, such was your hurried frenzy to high horse.ย You are so focussed on your outrage that you find copying and pasting the opinions of others easier than formulating it in any detail in your own words - its lazy, condescending and laughable (possibly a breach of copyright too).

Ethan's smack down should have been enough, but you had to go and put the other foot in your mouth. No doubt you'll continue with this boorish drivel...ย it's one of the prices we pay for freedom of speech.ย

Looking forward to tonights game. Go Dees!

Ok. I take your point.ย

Yes, I am outraged, have been for years about Australian bogan behaviour on the cricket field. And, yes, I feel outrage when people try to defend their behaviour.

As for quoting other people - since when is quoting another writer when it is blogged or in the publicย domain a breach of copyright? - I do it because I assume readers would be more interested in the opinions of other cricketers or cricket writers than my opinions.

In the meantime, let's do peace.

Go Dees.

The Aussie sense of fair play, which seems to have gone missing for some time ...

ย

Now I think its pretty common knowledge that Roosy wanted Stewey Dewey as his replacement and he declined to end up at the Suns.

But honestly after 2 wins at the Suns is it really appropriate that they've got this level of appreciation at Carara.

I look forward to our level of celebrations at our MCG when we win this year !ย

Did anyone notice at the Eagles/Cats game, ย when Hawkins was having a shotย after the siren, all the flashing lights on the fence and on the stands started and the Eagles song blurted out. I would have thought that rules require the umpires to signal the end before all that crap starts.

Remember we missed out on finals last year by one goal.

Didn't see the game Red, but Iย like your sense of fair play.

Hopefully, if/when the tide is turned next time, we throw the club song, lights, hall hat stand and a few chests of drawers and mirrors at Hawko or his replacement.ย

Gee I havenโ€™t missed much in a few weeks.

Viney is still 4-5 weeks.

Hardly surprising Mr. Leg this is the same club that managed to look the other way for a decade when half the team was into things illegal.

I note VDB and McKenna are now listed as indefinite. To me that just about spells their time is up with us. If they both miss two full seasons,ย I couldn't see them being retained.ย

Well I handed out a rather artistic flogging and received a rousing round of applause from the members.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFLโ€™s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.ย
