I can't post at the moment as I've been watching footage of Our Majesty's 90th. I'm teared up and excited. I'm just hoping for another royal wedding or royal birth.

It's a re run of "Beaches" for me tonight.

I thought reruns of the old but gold Channel 10 Program No 96 would be more in your line?? No? What about " The Box' then!, more cosy and comfortable??

And just on the Monarchy, Her Royal Highness and others have made an artform of making a living selling Royalty as an ongoing concern! And the masses have bought it! Not I, I reckon they are the greatest spongers in History! What do they actually bring to the table??

And if I don't post anymore you know that 007 James Bond has assinated me for stating the Bleedin Obvious!

The sooner we become a Republic the happier I will be!!

He personified weirdo unlike any other man apart from BBO that I have ever witnessed.

Leave PP out of this.

He is an opportunistic Greek that has lived off the Taxes of plebs for  ten decades and not showed one bit of gratitude,on the contrary ,belittling contempt.

It doesn't get any better.

Chapeau!

Don't get me wrong,I'm all for living off the earnings of women but FMD!

I draw the line at allowing them to come home whenever they want.

BBO-Prince Phillip would never allow Her Majesty to think she has control-and he would sort out such unnatural inequity in the "pants "department privately.

Greeks have never betrayed the natural order of things ,which is why women still like to dalliance with chockos ,despite the smell.

Just ask DC-he loves all things Greek.

After all Biff, the Greeks invented sex, but the Italians introduced women to it.

Invented well before the Greeks, as written in the Veda's 5000 years ago and graphically depicted in many parts of what we now call India.

and ernest, from dna analysis it seems that the neanderthals were giving homo sapiens a few sex lessons 100,000 years ago. OD could probably remember.

Jeez you blokes know buggar all!!

Adam and his missus named Evie started it all. They lived in Eden (which is now an over rated town in NSW). Anyway a scientific analysis of the literature carried out by an Irishman named Usher calculated the first bang as it were ( not to be confused with the Big Bang) to have taken place about 4000 years BC . (And likely even before OD)

Our lately silent mod aka the good doctor would be able to confirm this.

Biff there are times when it is best to remain silent. Although my guess is that you are not the silent type.

You can say that again Biff. Think he was very much in a big bubble at Paisley Park. Had a funny SOH once he allowed some to interview etc apparently. But very unusual character. Amazingly talented though. Purple Rain on the Superbowl was solid given his age. Lost nothing on the guitar. Don't know who arranged the intro/earlier part of that set though. Pretty ordinary. Not on his own with "Celebrity"  weirdness though. Would be a pretty zany world i would imagine.

Some of that weird brought out in this journo's visit to Paisley in 2010 here...

Was one of 50 to see him in Bennetts Lane Jazz Bar in the city.

Saw him at the bar and he looked about 30 so was a big shock to see him die so young.

I bet you are following up you civilized and cultured evening by watching the World Figure Skating Championships on SBS this afternoon, Uncle Bitter.

Apparently this thread is the naughty corner. In more ways than one.

Surely not as Uncle Bitter would never debase himself by posting on this thread if that were true.

Uncle Bitters I need help, I have sparked a plethora of hate, agitation and bile when commenting on football matters in the Footy section. I need an elixer, beverage, something  to sustain me! Given I helped out with my "Cure all" magic foot fungicide , I wonder what can you prescribe for the Gaping wounds in my back and my dented Ego??

Is THAT what you call it Picket?  I thought it was more akin to taking flying leaps  from short run ups, rather like the Birdman Rally.

Yes picket I noticed you getting a jolly good thrashing from a number of posters.

I must say I enjoyed it immensely and considered it totally justified. Now as to some sort of panacea for your ills.

If you were a fellow of sensibility and style there are any number of fine wines I could recommend. However, associating you with a cultured palate( or cultured anything for that matter)  brings to mind the old biblical saying about "casting pearls before swine". Therefore I suggest you go out and buy the cheapest and nastiest "fourpenny dark" you can find and slurp down the contents. You can then beat yourself about the head with the empty bottle until you lapse into unconsciousness.

PS. if you need advice on cheap and nasty wines contact Biffen. He drinks nothing else.

Ah, the important questions of the universe......

On the way to the game tonight, I saw a bloke pick up a used tissue someone had left on the seat and use it. That wasn't you in your efforts to help the universe recycle, was it, Biffen?

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
