If thats your and the club's view then thats fine but I don't share it. The delisting process should however become a tad easier already having having 9 180cm or under players on the list. I would be happy with this. I see the area we need bolstering relating to being too small and too easily brushed aside. I would like several hard running types a long the lines of Cooney, Griffin, Birchall . All around 190+ .Looking at the top sides they look a lot bigger than us all over the ground.

I hear what you're saying Dockett however many of the top teams are physically bigger because they have had 5 or 6 pre-seasons in the gym together and have built that muscle mass. It is quite simply a matter of time for our youngsters to put on muscle.

Tapscott aside, not many kids come in with AFL ready bodies.

As i said originally, i agree this year with the first pick being a 'best available' approach and that will likely be a midfielder of the type you are suggesting. But what i was saying is that with subsequent picks, as the draft is 'reportedly shallow' and there will be some speculation there anyway, that we should punt on goalsneak types. It has been a glaring problem all year and one not really being filled by anyone at Casey either.

From what I've read, Mitchell Grigg seems to be a good fit for us. Strong bodied midfielder, gun clearance player and has Daniel Rich's left boot. Only drawback is his apparently lazy attitude which I'm sure could be dispelled under Viney, Moloney, etc. He played senior footy for Norwood at 16 I think and has been good against the bigger bodies. Possible replacement for Scully.

Interesting they think we need a hard-bodied midfeilder now not a tall forward. I liked the idea of Todd Elton but Toby looks the goods as well. I wonder why Elton fell out of favour? Bad carnival?

I'd be happy with Green, played very well in the TAC grand final so he can perform in the big games. Bit of a ball magnet and has good skills, can handball and actually hit a target, his kicking seems pretty good too.

Me too. I thought he was great in the final. Unfortunately that is all I know of him. BP might know a smidgeon more about him.
