GAME DAY

like 3rd quarter v hawthorn, just vice versa

Ah no.... that quarter was 8.11 to 1.0. Nothing like that.

Richmond 7.5. 47

Melbourne 12.4. 76

Dees by 29 pts.

Won that quarter by 9 pts.

Goals: Green 3, Jones 2, Watts 2, Trengove 2, Martin, Jurrah , Howe.

Really impressed wiuth the intensity and some of the ball movement is exquisite. Impressed with Nicholson's don't argue's and breaking tackles whilst on the run looking up field. Garland, Rivers and Frawley doing well as required. Moloney coming into the game that quarter, Jones playing very well. ANd the forwards in Jurrah, Green, Howe, Petterd playing with freedom and looking dangerous foe nearly every i50. Martin and Jamar sharing the load both in the centre and up forward. Making contests. Bennell could be a bit more dangerous with some confidence. Goes to the ball one handed alot, would prefer two hands and that he take the physicality responsibility for his teammates. If you go half hearted at 50/50 balls, opposition will find you out and exploit that. Putting in though so that is a positive.

Bring on the second half. Must let the footy do the talking again and keep the accelerator down. May just break the game wide open.

Anyone know anything about Sylvia making contact in an off the ball incident? Heard someone saying he'll get 3 weeks for it...no one at the game knows anything about nor did anyone see it. Me thinks it's a bit of good ol' fashioned BS.

@ Akum. Jordie was on him late in the quarter, not sure who was on him earlier, possible Gys. Garland gets him when he is going forward.

On of Jordies tackles on him in their F50 he literally threw him self at him through the air and wrapped both arms and legs around him and rode him to the ground. Don't argue that!

Off the ball incident...know nothing.

The only contact he had was his knee into Conca's head. Conca got a free, could have been nasty but just grazed him. All accidental. Sylvia should have gone down low like Conca did. Granted, Conca may have just beaten him to the ball.

true, overexcited...what I should have said was 'tiges really struggling to release the ball following a dees behind, a little reminiscent of the hawks game'

Yeah fair enough.

Our press is putting pressure on.

Our ball handling is good.

edit:

Watts mark - great pack mark, stood tall !!

Nothing in it, Conca (I think) and Sylvia were both running at the ball and Conca's head hit Slyvia's knee as they both when low for the ball

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
