Interesting that BP wrote that Jetta had been playing as a small forward only because that was the vacant spot in the side and you need to take what you're given, but that it's not his forte. (It made me think that perhaps I needed to see more of Jetta before I marked his card).

Ohhh,,,you'ver got your pencil out,,, and sharpening it too!!!

Well! let the word pass around,, Beware, Rogues watching, trusty pencil at the ready.

Err, okay.

Anyway, since you've asserted that he'll be a long-term player for us I'm keen to see who you think won't make it.

He's yet to get a Mans body and full strength. Lets see.

There are a bunch of other players that are around his age and are, IMO, ahead of him.

Nev wasn't in our best 22 at the start of the season. Looking at the list in its current state, you would have to say Nev has overtaken a handful of players including Bate, Wonna, Petterd, Bennell and Dunn. Nev still has a stack of hard work to do, but he is constantly improving and his approach to the game is contagious.

Nev is a nice player to have on our list.

I hope he doesn't get done for that bump. His feet left the ground and he just got Stanton in the head from what I saw, Stanton was down for a bit.

I'm guessing he'll get a week.

I only saw it on Teev but I thought it was great, I saw it as right on the essenduns chest gave our man with the ball extra couple of metres to deliver clinically

Great to see Should see it more often, I wonder how that bruise is

Go Dees give 'em HELL !!

Is neat and tidy, is ferocious and a great tackler.

Prime small forward material.

Admire the way he plays but he isn't very quick and his skills, especially for goal isn't reliable. Not the right ingredients for a small forward.

Need to see him in the midfield, as he was drafted as an inside midfielder before i judge his place in the team for the future.

He's got pretty poor endurance for a midfielder, IMO, which is probably why he can't play there at the moment.

Reminds me of Sylvia when he first started, he had poor endurance. No doubt it will come over time, it's pretty valuable now though to have forwards that can run through the midfield and vice versa.

He played well in a winning side. Is an awesome tackler but gets caught with the ball far too often and makes some terrible decisions sometimes.

There very well could be another thread next week saying how he needs to be dropped.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
