as someone else mentioned u have brought little of it today

You still don't understand what any of us are saying. Listen carefully.

No one doubts that humidity will affect performance.

What we have pointed out, is the fact that there was no apparent effect on the GC players, therefore it is not an excuse for AFL players (as opposed to GC kids) to blame humidity. If both teams slowed down, then you may be able to attribute the lack of scoring on fatigue/humidity but you can't attribute our performance to it, where the other side are running around as normal.

key word KIDS good to see our kids are not up to it as much !!!!!

Anybody happy now? :P

so ur puttin humidity ahead of guts, attitude etc as the reason for the third qtr????

they are 18, been up there 6 months and they have better fitness and handle humidity better than tuned athletes over several years?

wouldnt it have a worse effect in the last qtr where we have been better?

u make no sense but we know that.

im the sucker for being dragged in

You have not lived in 90% humidity for any length of time have you.

Read my earlier message. Then reply.

For the record, I have lived for many years in such humidity, but as I have already explained, that is not the issue.

humidity is horrible, wife and I spent 3 months in China and it was humid as hell and we could not cope at all.

Humidity is a major factor when your running all day.

Thankyou...a man who knows. It is hard to walk 20 steps in high humidity. Your entire body just steams and sweats all day.....

I can't believe the debate on a game thread is the about the bloody humidity!!

The elephant in the room is that we are not playing well and it has nothing to do with the playing conditions. We are bottom 4 this year on what I have seen.

Skills are poor, often under little pressure. Too many who can't play contested footy.

The replies in this thread are hilarious.

We're destroying them, and have been all game.

We're up by 80 points ffs.

did not realise that this would be up for debate after watching the TIO game v Port last year!!

Now imagine if we kicked straight - 19 points, and considering Green has kicked 2 out on the full, i think Sylvia has done it a few times too... not bad.

e: This is a bigger victory than the WB managed - a top 4 aspirant who played them at home.

Haha... Terrible comment. Who is? I don't think we expect to be do we...? If we are the 8th best team this year that would be good enough I think

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
