Essendon playing tonight in their wide red stripe jumpers. So you guessed it .. Umps in red shirts and black shorts!!

Surely they could have worn green ? Is it really that hard !!!

My old "Clash" arguement again....it is a rule only enforced on a few.

All umpires should wear WHITE as they did for about 100 years....

In other news, Brisbane are disgraceful.

Is Brisbane out there..?? Hadnt noticed !!!

Yep Umps in white tonight would be fine...its not rocket surgery is it.

It' pretty obvious isn't it? The umpires have worn red and black in every game. Red and black are the colours of the NAB logo, it's stupid but we are talking about the AFL here so no one should be surprised.

Given Essendon has home ground advantage in the next game for the second time in a row, I assume that, for the sake of fairness, Melbourne will wear its traditional strip while Essendon will wear that "away" strip?

BTW, where's the "white" on that "away" strip?

Exactly right. If red is a "light" colour then we should be able to stick with a red & blue only clash strip. If red is not a "light" colour then Essendon should be forced to adopt white in their clash strip.

But the whole thing is a joke really we don't need clash strips anyway.

And as for the umpires; if they insist on wearing colours and not stick to plain white then why don't they do the obvious and wear green every game. No other team has green in their guernsey's now that Freo has gone purple with white. It has the added bonus of blending in with the grass therefore making them easier to ignore if you are that way inclined.

So..the Umps couldnt have wornwhite with NAB logos ???? way too hard I know !!

The clash argument is just farcical. The AFL are providing all the evidence to see.

Pick a dif colur AFL...ffs ...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
