Pick No.156 - Ricky Petterd - Melbourne

Forgot about Petterd (surprisingly, considering the number 15's on the back of my Dees jumper).

Would've been a handy wildcard in the forward pocket for me.

Also considering he's staring right at me in your picture there!

That's Jared McVeigh right?

Might be worth making the distinction.

Same for Harvey, Brown, Moore, Grimes etc - just makes easier reading.

I'm sure it's not just your team list either.

I was thinking same. Perhaps after final selections we can submit a final team sheet with surname, plus first initial , and abbreviated team in brackets.

ie. B: B.Waters (WC) B.Lake (WB) J.Brennan (GC)

HB: D.Jackson (Rich) B.Goddard (StK) J.Lewis (Haw)

... and so on. Just makes it clearer and removes the name confusion aspect.

Wow.

Raised my eyebrows too; bloody risky selection. Don't even know if the guy can play or not yet. It'd be the same thing as selecting Jeremy Howe as your Melbourne player.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
