Old news 😁

4 of 5 4th Downs made by Detroit (Dan Campbell)  Amazing risk-taker

Better team won

What a game! Loved every second of it, Dan going for it 30 out from their own goal line was insane and if that was McVay I would have been furious. But that’s his mojo, came down to the wire and a fun game to watch.

Exactly right Gonzo, they can come and go like comets.

The greatest RB of all time Jim Brown played 8 seasons. Barry Sanders 9, Terrell Davis 6 etc. I know there's longer term examples but it is a churn and burn lifestyle.

Hopefully the Jets get something for Hall in the offseason and ride Braelon Allen the next few years.

Saints,  Seahawks,  Bills

Jags finally get another win. Titans also rubbish though.

Rams just got screwed by the Refs on that call, 49yrd catch. Even the red expert on the call said it wasn’t, we should have the ball within the 10. Should be able to challenge that [censored].

Another [censored] [censored] call on us, that’s not a horse collar. Fuxkin Allen getting all the calls. These refs need to be fined after the game for gross incompetence

Rams go for it on 4th and 5 and get it, should have had a false start called on Havenstein… I like the refs a little more..

Just never thought we would win today.

Well, the Rams are right back in the hunt now after that win

Might come down to that last game vs Seattle

Some seriously good football today fellas

Bills losing to the Rams was unexpected but glad to see that result, as a Jets fan I can't stand the Bills almost as much as the Pats.

Philly/Detroit still look like the teams to beat but KC just keep finding ways. Surely their luck runs out soon, right???

While it's my job to hate on the Rams it was impossible to hate on their performance, they were incredible and every bit a playoff side in that game. I do wonder where they would be if Nacua had been healthy all season, he was everywhere.

I think they can win the division I'm convinced now. A bloopie over us this Fri and they're on their way!

Bengals win the game with a late TD after the cowboys touched a partially blocked bengals punt.

How dumb do you have to be to do that. DON'T TOUCH THE BALL UNLESS YOU ARE SURE TO COLLECT. Its the one thing you simply cannot do on special teams.

March that prat out the door immediately. That level of stupidity cannot be tolerated.

Just awful and not a harsh request either, you have one job on special teams and a bare minimum requirement is knowing the rules.

Not sure what Bland was thinking on the TD catch to Chase either. Gave up the outside contain so easily. At very least make him go outside, if he scores that way then well done but to cut back in and take it to the house? Disappointing way to lose the game.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
