2 participants went pointless for the entire season last season and 1 of the 2 participants still hasn't got off the mark this year!  Intolerable cruelty

And we had a 4 or 5 week stretch last season (around the same time frame as right now) where no one received a point

It's a tough comp that gets tougher

Still, everyone is within striking distance of leading the comp so there's that

As for the Falcons, your division is down to 3 who can win it.  Handy win against the Bucs on the weekend

Well there you go... That's the beauty of this tipping comp!

Falcons ticking along okay, I'm still not sold on the rookie QB Ridder (had 3 red zone turn overs last week) with the NFC South probably the weakest division in the league it gives us an opportunity anyway. With a young family I haven't had a chance to watch them or the league as closely over the past couple of seasons, that'll be my excuse if I go pointless for the season haha! Although working from home on Mondays & Fridays does play well in the NFL season so try to see as much as I can!

Rams cut their kicker. Not surprised, what’s annoying is we didn’t re sign Gay who was great over the last three seasons and would have cost sod all.

Watching Leonard Floyd smashing it also hurts since we are paying his wage, another dumb off season move.

Can at least bin them from 40 yards? I'd look at anyone who can do that right now.

But then again, kickers are only ever sacked for repeatedly missing from this range or less haha.

Floyd is just a stud pure and simple. Fits McDermott's scheme perfectly.

Boring choices - Chiefs, Ravens, Eagles. Thought about Jags.

Missed two from over 50. The PAT you shouldn’t miss tho.
But McVay called poorly at times and Stafford zoned on one read a lot through the game so if they played better his FG attempts might be closer and then miss less.

Chiefs  Ravens  Eagles

Highly doubt tomorrow will be a good day for me, Can’t see the Rams beating Dallas in Dallas. Our D isn’t great and I don’t think can hold Lamb or get to Dak enough whilst in the other side I think the Dallas D will make the olines life a living hell.
The run game will be key, if we can t that going and slow the pass rush a second would be gold.

Surely this week I break my duck...surely...

i'm in the same boat TU. chiefs huffing and puffing v the Broncos. need a touchdown to win in the 4th. They are no certs

Lol Chiefs…will they get out of this one ?

Well today started well in the first qtr, except their by the wording penalty and then the same not paid to us, theirs lead to a TD, ours a FG and that’s where the game stopped being good. Stafford smashed his thumb twice and looks likely to miss this week vs GB. Nakua has been an absolute revelation, it’s seriously like have two Kupps out there. This kid is special.

Washington trade Young to the niners. Essentially they move back a year with a third rounder if they don’t sign him long term.

Ha! We're all getting caught out on trap games ... but trap games aren't easily identified!

The good news is that this week is there aren't any trap games but if anyone can come up with 3 road winners, they'll probably pick up a well deserved bonus point

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
