Rams lose rookie RB Wilkins until after the week 10 bye, just after they established a good run game.

Went out and signed Henderson to the practice squad and Myles Gaskin to the squad. He will have what, 2 days to learn the play book as we face the Steelers… not ideal at all.

Bills 9ers Commanders

Bills   49ers  Washington

Rams lose by 7, missed two field goals and a PAT.
Both field goal misses led to point to the Steelers. (fg and TD) so we miss the 6 points and gave them good field position twice and they scored 10 off it.

I'm going pointless this year... This is litreally impossible 🤣

Eagles build a side how it should be.
build a strong offensive line then defensive line and then fill the gaps.

Loved the throw back unis too!

Yeah, they're an extremely solid outfit playing very well.  And how do the other teams stop the tush-push?  Working a treat right now

Eagles, Jags,  KC,  Lions, 49ers & the Ravens (?) are starting to create separation in their respective divisions

But it's a long season and there's probably still 20 teams in contention for the playoffs (remembering that 14 teams contest the playoffs now)

I'll have a go at the top 10

Eagles

49ers

Chiefs

Miami

Jags

Bills

Ravens

Lions

Atlanta

Dallas

Been teams like the bills that have dropped games badly, Cowboys the same.
can the browns finally get things together? It’s a wide open season. And as well as the Eagles were, Miami has a lot of very good players to return from injury soon.

Vikes matched the niners for toughness today. Did not see that and Cousins was huge!

I don’t think the niners played bad, Vikes just had their measure today and without Jefferson too, I actually thought with Jefferson they weren’t much of a chance.

1 point on offer this week (the bonus point on offer as well) Good luck!  haha

Just got to get to the playoffs and then anything can happen.  At this stage maybe the Chiefs/Eagles to get to the SB but there are any number of teams that can get on a roll.  Home field may or may not be an advantage

And there's bound to be a couple of teams get hot at the business end

Trent Williams was a huge loss for the Niners. He gives them a lot in the run game, but also provides Purdy and Kyle confidence in the pass game that the backside is locked down.

So I wasn't totally shocked to see the Niners offense struggling. My guess is they kind of have some up and down weeks for the next stretch of the season whilst they contemplate how much they can ask of Purdy in the playoffs.

The Vikings offense surprised me, but Kevin O'Connell knows the Niners D from his time at the Rams and is a good coach, so I guess it shouldn't have been a total shock that they had some chances. The big surprise was Kirk didn't go full prime time Kirk and was making plays late in the game.

Rams cut their kicker. Not surprised, what’s annoying is we didn’t re sign Gay who was great over the last three seasons and would have cost sod all.

Watching Leonard Floyd smashing it also hurts since we are paying his wage, another dumb off season move.

Cheifs, Ravens, Eagles...

In all seriousness @Macca the pointless battlers, we must be getting into uncharted territory for longest start to the season without a point 🤣

2 participants went pointless for the entire season last season and 1 of the 2 participants still hasn't got off the mark this year!  Intolerable cruelty

But said participant could get up and win it.  You never know!

And we had a 4 or 5 week stretch last season (around the same time frame as right now) where no one received a point

It's a tough comp that gets tougher

Still, everyone is within striking distance of leading the comp so there's that

As for the Falcons, your division is down to 3 who can win it.  Handy win against the Bucs on the weekend

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
