I'm trying to make contact with a Demon fan in Shanghai for the game so that, at the very least, we might get ¼  by ¼ scores and highlights if the SMS and Chinese authorities permit.

Many thanks for your effort WJ

(1) Fair point Jack. I feel suitably chastened!

(2) So we will be premiers in a few hours time .... I've just got time to order in the Bollinger! :P;)

Ha. You know, we are the most successful AFL club with the best winning strike rate...internationally speaking of course.

On the off chance that the following 荣誉赞助商: means Kaspersky Cup Shanghai Showdown then we're in luck.

If it means something rude or libellous I apologise and put it down to my ignorance of the language.

Very good.

Appreciate the efforts WJ & Wise. All the best in the call Wise.

Guys,

I was just driving along listening to SEN and they suggested, after a caller made enquiries, that Channel 7 will be showing an extended 'Highlights' package of the game. They did not say what time, or on what Ch7 station. Does anyone know anything more about this?

If so could you please let 'Landers know. I have searched Ch7 guide but found nothing.

Cheers .. very hard to get any info on this game, but there certainly is a lot of interest from people here in Australia. If anyone from the Club reads this - Please put out a DVD

First message in from Shanghai Dee:

"Left the hotel on the way to the match. Lots of red and blue primed for action. Reserves include Shwarter, Neita, Robbie, Tangles and Dicko. Next report from ground. Traffic heavy must be sell out."

Heaven help us if we're relying on Max Walker. He hasn't played for forty years.

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
