Everyone keeps going on about pick 12 going to North for Hale but we are not offering pick 12, We are offering pick 32which I personally think is a good deal. Does the change of pick change any ones mind about the value of this trade????

Pick 32 is smart business for a big bloke like Hale. No problems from me. Pick 12 is saved for a kiddie.

Looking at those stats i would keep PJ if they are correct.

I wouldn't. Hale lacked opportunities this year with Goldstein and McIntosh. PJ had his chances and did nought with them. We (the FD and Mass Public Opinion) know what we get with PJ and thats why the FD are chasing Hale.

Stats; porn for geeks

In this case its heavily photoshopped smut.

I'll be file, HT and JCB can be rank ;)

thanks- Now MODS when you are addressing me call me Sir JCB or Admiral Sir JCB..Glad for once you have got it right-ONLY RASSIN OF COURSE.The only two I'd consider in ranking order is WJ& Andy.Thank you for considering me-I'm honored.

Paul Johnson reads the play in another language and cant mark (for starters)

Agreed. I was getting very worried that we were giving away 12. Now with a bad draft pick 34 isnt going to be great why not take a chance.

btw who was the clown who said "i know why melbourne are offering pick 12 (and that he) couldnt tell us why atm" and that we should just trust the FD. HA

mmmmmm........interesting.......I think just pick 32 will suffice!

Just highlighting the fact that going on those stats there is very little difference.

Hale may have had limited opportunities, but he still played 8 games-But for Pick 32 i am happy for the punt.

This could get interesting.

We may try to trade to get in a better pick for them, using Warnock or Maric.

Also looks like the Hawks don't want Josh Hill, cos they wont likely get him with less than that compo pick.

Played sparingly up forward vs someone who has ample chances and done nuttin.

Like comparing an apple and banana.

Hawks have thrown in the pick they got from cambell brown, we are gone it appears

phew that was close.

If we get him for 32, nice.

If not, we have an ridiculously talented up-n-coming forward line (Jurrah, Watts, Pettard, Green, Wona, Sylvia) and an All Australian ruckman. We'll just continue on our merry way, putting our faith in the draft and the players already on our list. who knows, next year Spenser might have a breakout year and become a capable back up. Maybe Fitzpatrick will be blooded and show he's a more than capable 200cm forward. All is certainly not lost.

Going to hawks for pick they got for cambell brown

Hawks have not said anything about giving up the compensation pick.

At the moment this is as credible as the claim we offered pick 32 & a swap of first round picks.

Could easily be posturing and leakage by Norf in an attempt to get us to cough up more.

We don't know.

Don't give up hope / celebrate just yet.

Looks like the Hawks are over the line.

You could be right. Nothing is final...yet.

If HALE cant choose the DEMONS over the Dawks well we dont want him!

Pick 32 is fair... Having Hale and the Hawks put pressure on the Dee's is riducolous.

Pick 32 or nothing. Stick to your guns DEMONS...

Hawks are trying to force our hand in giving up more. Maybe its there way of getting Warnock off us. But hey is required.

So F..k off Hawthorn! You look and smell like [censored]...

We will be thumping you very soon. Thats with a plunger down the dunny and on the field...

I would be happy to drop 5 spots in the first round of the draft just so we don't have to see PJ 'attempt' to be a league footballer one more time.

I actually thought the Dees would've gone harder at Hale as he could provide important back up for Jamar and can kick goals unlike Johnson. Remember it's unlikely we're going to get 22 games out of Jamar next year due to his injury prone history.

He'll be handy for the Hawks.

Hale will be a Demon

If they really want Hale then I doubt very much that the club hasn't another offer up their sleeves.

Hawks now in the box seat to grab Hale... there ya go.... next

Hawks big trade coup

Hawks would probably use him more in the ruck which might suit his apsirations ...who knows.

Dees not mucking around...sticking to their guns

hale is mad if he doesn't want to come to melb...melb are giving him a few ruck duties and letting him sit in the goal square for most of the match. if he goes to the hawks he's going to be running around in the guts and not going to get anywhere near the forward line.

Hear Hear ... If we have been talking to him for a few weeks yet he will choose the Hawks at the last minute. Then we should thank our lucky stars we found out something about his character before we signed him. However, I very suspicious about these media rumours.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
