Justin Sherman

Had a very up and down season this year. Not playing anywhere near the way that had him playing in the International Series a couple of years ago where he was one of the next up and coming youngsters to watch out for.

Goes missing in games for long periods.

I would say no but....If Vossy wants him gone, he probably has some value!

In all seriousness, It would be worth considering...112 games, 85 goals, 23 years of age

no real injuries, solid body.

I wouldn't give much up for him, but if he's out the door than why not.

Anyone have much of a scouting report on him?

To me, we have solid bodies and athletic bodies, but not enough solid and athletic guys. Can Sherman run?

A line breaker, and I like him for that reason ..... but his price tag is likely to be more than I would be comfortable with.

A line-breaker that gets run down by PJ..?

And where would we play him?

I think he believes he is worth a lot more than he actually is.

Would be a good fit with Essendon maybe.

Didn't realise that he was the one that PJ caught. I just changed my view of him!

I believe he was coming off a broken leg (or something like that) at the point in time. For 12 months post that sort of injury players tend to be down on their abilities and he was in that category at the time.

Sherman is not a star, stars tend to perform even when injured, but is still good. His season before the leg and last year were impressive. Reminds me a little of pettard. Does not seem that great but gee he can make a difference, he just does good things.

If you believe Alistair Lynch he is a confidence player that performs well when things are going well for him, into that I read front-runner.

Has talent but would given our track record I would be amazed if we gave him a second thought.

Agreed.

Has speed but is liable to poor decision making under pressure.

No thanks.

I do not watch enough Brissie games to give an accurate assessment of Sherman, but from what I have seen he has failed to impress.

Do we really need to tinker to the point where we are taking on players that may not be a part of our best 22?

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
