Demonland Prediction of the Week

Featured Replies

Late Change - Bail in..

Dunn to have a super game..

Scully to run riot!

Watts to keep improving

WattsHappening to have 17pots at the royal/cricketers arms before the game,

Jones to Have 25 Touches and Bang 2 through the big ones,

Watts to kick 4

Watts to have a breakout game - 3 goals, and enough important stats (ie contested marks) to prove he was a good pick!

...but then again, Jurrah may steal his thunder!

watts to kick 4 have 22 disposals, get rising star nomination.

Umpires will favour us untill essendon fans start booing them and then they will let essendon get away with anything and penalise us for everything.

watts to kick 4 have 22 disposals, get rising star nomination.

This!

James Frawley will accidentally bowl over the Essendon runner who - typically - was spending far too much time on the ground anyway. Runner will need a stretcher.

My predictions:

1) Deevout to eat too much at the Presidents Luncheon

2) The round passes without Miller getting a belting on this site

3) Demons by 28 points

LOL!

You forgot drink to much...

Another prediction: Jordie McKenzie to get 26 touches, but no nomination again

I'd like to see Aaron start on the bench to avoid him getting sucked into a retaliatory mindset caused by pre bounce "attention"

Cheney to develop a mysterious illness and Bail to come into the side

Jurrah and Sylvia to repeats last weeks perfomance with 6 goals between them.

Headlines will be : KNIGHTS NEXT TO GO?!

You have stolen mine..

so I will go with Jurrah and Watts to kick 10 goals between them and all hailing our awsome forward line.

great thread Joeboy btw. I like it.

Edited by The Great One 99

Bailey to forget he is coaching the demons and make no moves in the last quarter when we desperately need to do something different in the last quarter.

And the winner is ...

Over to you Joeboy. You're the judge!

Firstly , anyone who offered more than 1 prediction was immediately disqualified for not adhering to the rules .

Honorable mentions must be given to ' Demon Dave ' and 'Grandson of Gun' but from my point of view there were no clear winners and the jackpot is doubled for next week's game .

How true!

Sylvia to be BOG. (3 goals, 31 touches).

Wow- i was close. 29 touches. 2 goals. In the best.

Green for last goal

For Melbourne, yes

Headlines will be : KNIGHTS NEXT TO GO?!

Probably

Melbourne kicks the first goal of the game.

Supporters in shock!

We weren't in shock, but yep :D

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
