Demons and their last quarters.

WHat a last quarter. Scully has had double figure touches this quarter. Some of them haven't been too crash hot, but still...

Frawley and Warnock have given exactly zero frees against. 13 inside fifties to 12 in favour of the dogs! Our defence have been magnificent.

Nup... he handballed it to the umpire.... ridiculous strip to be wearing... was just one of three occasions in the last quarter alone that players went to the umpire thinking it was a team mate (Bate and Green the others). Plus they over ruled the goal umpire in better position because they 'thought' the player had touched the ball, and they didn't pay Trengove's mark.... other than that they had a pretty good game.

You've got to wonder what the point of having goal umpires is if they don't have the authority to make decisions on goals. That occurred to me after the first bad decision and was rammed home after the second, and in both cases the goal umpire got it right but was vetoed. Horribly frustrating.

Robbed again... cannot get a trick. Umpiring department needs a serious look at themselves.

Get the facts straight. Goal umpire makes the decisions unless he's unsure.

Hoping there's a lot on heat on those decisions during the week.

Can't remember the last time I was this devastated by a loss. We played like we were possessed, and everyone played their hearts out. To have the points taken off us in such a cruel manner because of the incompetence of the AFL is so frustrating and unjust.

Hard to believe I'm saying this, but this and the Collingwood loss might actually cost us a spot in the 8, which in the big scheme of things makes little different to our future progress really. It's a joy going to the football again, and the future is unbelievably bright.

And the way I see it, all these bad decisions which go against us will accumulate into massively good karma and when we finally make a GF all the decisions will go our way :)

We'll [censored] West Coast next week, but rolling interstate sides in 3/4 empty stadium isn't nearly as enjoyable as grinding out a win against another Vic side... Looking forward to Round 11 against Carlton!

A great game by the young kids. I hope Jamie B and Watts watch the attack on the ball shown by Scully and Trengove - they are leading by example. I though the wet conditions normally favour the stronger older bodies?

Jamie B showed he has skill, however he doesn't want the ball enough. A player with his pace should be laying a lot more tackles - have you noticed how he runs around anybody sheperding and almost gives up the chase? He will be a much more valuable player if he can fix this part of his game. Jamie's ability to pick up the ball off the deck was almost as good as Davey tonight and the high mark was superb. With more game time, I think he can be a great HFF.

Warnock and Frawley are becoming great defenders. They both have the pace to keep up with the fast leading forwards, which is what we have been missing in the last couple of years.

With a few more options up forward, we have the making of a great team! Hopefully Morton, Watts and Jurrah can fix this problem!

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full
