Bradshaw?

A couple of news stories i've read have said something about Bradshaw being unofficially offered by the Lions. Would we be happy with him to fill the full-forward gap for a couple of years? he is a 60 goal plus player after all. what would we give if we did?

How old is he?

If he is as old as burgoyne i bloody would love to have him as a key player for a few years but would be tremendous mentor for our young forwards

One of the most under-rated players in the comp.

Too old.

Agreed Rogue, and too pricey you would think.......

Plus am I having a deja vu and we meandered down the Bradshaw rumour mill only a couple of years ago?

IF he wants out at Brisbane, and brisbane were looking to get rid of him cheaply, due to salary cap pressure or similar, Bradshaw for Watts would be a great trade!!!

Jokes aside, if he came cheaply (swap of 3rd rounders ect, Miller??) would love him at the demons.

Who is Jack, Liam, Juice going to learn off?? Miller? Johnson? We have the experienced heads in the midfield and defence covered (Green, Bruce, Junior), and an experienced player to take some pressure off a young forward line would be fantastic. Plus he would make winning a few more games a great possibility

He would also require the oppositions best dfender each week, leaving Jack and Jurrah to get the 2nd/3rd best. Who would you rather playing on the Wiz? Scarlett or Mackie?

Those young forwards will learn from the coaches - the guys who are paid to teach them the game - just like at every other club.

It is a fallacy that you need other old guns that are currently playing to teach the kids how to play.

Honestly, no.

If Vi$y are interested, let them have him.

We have coaches who will show the way for Watts/Jurrah/Bate/Pick 11.

Is it only me who has faith in our forward coaches? For the last few years I honestly think that the problem has been the delivery, not the return on the inside 50's.

Although, I will agree with Mousey. Incredibly underrated.

Carlton are holding an emergency board meeting on Monday to discuss Fev's future - at this stage it seems as though they will keep him on board (they'd be mad to lose him IMHO), but in the slight chance that he was told to pack up and leave, I imagine being younger than Bradshaw - he would attract more interest.

Doesn't surprise me, but seriously, how can Carlton have not figured out they need to carefully manage Fevola at events like Brownlow where he is likely to consume far too much?

Are they stupid? Incompetent? Derelict in their duty, thats for sure... unless... unless they happily allowed him to be himself for the purposes of a hidden agenda... sit back and let him sign his own papers...

Just think about that one for a little while...

Bradshaw is still a gun, Robbo never was

While you're right about everything else, you're underselling him here. Robbo was a champion dee who in his day was the equal or better than Bradshaw. He just didn't put it together for as long... Bradshaw also had a whooooole lot of help.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
