Tom Scully is ours for the taking!

Recommended Posts

Now the Dockers have beaten Essendon, we HAVE to come 16th, which means we take Tommy even if we beat the out of form Saints next week!I guess we're playing for Trengove, now! Pick 1, 2 and 19 is far better than 1 and 19!!

Let's hope the Saints don 't rest their stars(despite the shorter break than us), and really go for it next week.

The trouble is, using that reliable tipping guide of recent results.....we killed Freo by 10 goals. Freo killed Essendon by 6 goals. Essendon beat St Kilda. We should beat the Saints by 16 goals!

What a strange season it is, I was thinking the same thing myself except for the part about Melbourne winning next week.

Its not over yet. Lets not be complacent. We could beat the Saints and Richmond could, umm I dont know, they could get docked premiership points for bringing the game into disrepute? :P

After we beat Port I thought it wasnt going to happen. But we did it. Somehow, we did it.

Hello Mr Scully. Let me show you to your locker.

Imagine the atmosphere at the ground if we win-Everybody will be [censored] off!!

there would be riots in the crowd at the end the melbourne cheer squad was sitting, Bailey would be sacked, effective immediantly and deported. The assistant coaches would be looking for a new job next season and the 22 players that took the field that day would have their contracts ripped up and they would never again represent the MFC :P

Am I missing something here? Please tell me if I am. With St Kilda looking decidedly wobbly, the Dees showing that they can occasionally put it all together, and Richmond playing West Coast at Subiaco next week (they're only a tiny fraction ahead of us on percentage), isn't it possible that we might miss out on the spoon ?

What if we beat the Saints? Richmond will get flogged by West Coast and lose percentage, so we could easily end up 15th., meaning that:

1. we lose the PP &

2. Richmond claim Scully (a Tiger supporter).

As I said, am I missing something? For now I'm leaving the cork in my champagne.

nah, he's not...cousin...and nevilles mum reccomended that we take him last year and conolly now admits that we "stuffed up"...

i want multiple jettas and grimes' running around, and possibly mortons...

apparantly we are looking at getting another central australia bloke again this year which would be very exciting.

Yeah, youre missing something. Richmond have 5 wins and a draw. We have 4 wins.

Doesnt matter what happens next week, we get the spoon.

If we win, we still get the spoon, but miss out on the PP.

We wont win.

As he is/was a Richmond supporter, I wonder what Tom Scully's opinion of Jordan McMahon is?

Had McMahon missed that kick after the siren, Scully would be all but on his way to Punt Road.

Strange days indeed. :D

But he Didn't Miss so young Tommy will be just down the road from the hapless Tigers!! I am sure Tom will be thankful of that in time.

Careers tend to go Belly up at Tigerland

Thanks, Einstein! I'm feeling very non-Einstein having missed that, but you've greatly relieved me (I'm following all this from Hong Kong atm) - if I could, I'd share the champagne with you - I'll drink to your health (and Tom Scully's) instead!

I think we snag Pick 18, hopefully Panos is still around then.

My thoughts exactly. Scully, Trengove and Panos would be the ideal top 3.

As for St Kilda next week, it's hard to say what will happen but I think we are in a good position. The loss against Essendon 2 weeks back was long overdue, there were a lot of close wins they were lucky to get this year and this is one where it went the other way. Losing to the Kangaroos this week is nothing short of embarassing, even Richmond has beaten North Melbourne. I think this will make them more hungry to avenge the loss and not go into the finals 3-in-a-row losers, I am expecting them to come at us very hard next week. Add to that a couple of "mystery illness" late omissions and we are golden.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
