Scully Defends Watts

Now, I know Bryce Gibbs was made a part of the Carlton leadership group before he'd even played a game, but we seem to have taken it to a new level with a player coming out and making statements for the club before he's even drafted...

Scully backs Watts to find form

I'll get in first - MAKE HIM CAPTAIN!

Yep scully for captain. Judd got to be captain without playing a game for carlton. Why not scully? He's already our best midfielder.

This conjecture is just too ridiculous for words - Scully may be better on a flank !

To anyone that has seen Skully play...

How good is this kid really?

Will he def go at number 1?

He's been likened to Chris Judd quite a bit... is there any truth?

Does he have potential to be a Chris Judd type champion later in his career?

To answer your questions, GOOD! YES! YES! YES!

No pressure on the kid. Seen him play from the under 13's up, his endurance is incredible.

Simply watching him today, he had a lot of Chris Judd about him (and that's not including the head strapping :P ). He was the one that basically, single-handedly kept his team in it, during the third term. His hands seem to be his fortay, whilst he can kick, with penetration on either side of his body. He might not have the same ability to break a tackle, as Judd has, nor perhaps the pace, but everything else, I'd liken to Judd, purely on todays performance.

I don't know how he is on a short burst, but he matches up pretty well over distance with Judd. I'm sure someone can dig up the 3km time trial scores for him.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
