Casey Scorpions v Werribee Tigers - colours & squads

Recommended Posts

Hopefully he backs up again well this week after last weeks stellar effort although l think he has been struggling with cold/flu quite a bit this week.

Can't wait to see him stringing games together and get his confidence up, running teams off there legs and dragging in some hangers.

Thanks for clearing that up, Japaljarri.

And don't they all look delicious in that pink?

They do actually... except the red heads!:lol:

Shocking disposal all around thus far, but Jurrah's mark was impressive. What's going on with the hair though?

Can someone please kill Phil Cleary? Now he is talking about swine flu and grass... oh god!

Edit: show us the game and talk to people during the breaks will you. Nearly missed Jurrah's great tackle and goal!

Great strength and a great handball from Martin for a Jetta goal.

Spencer is clumsy but he has so much potential. His recovery after dropping that handball was impressive for someone so big.

Petterd goal! Melbourne players looking good.

I love Spencer but watching him kick the ball is nothing short of hilarious!!

I know, he literally bends down and places the ball on the foot. So funny.

Still, it does the job and that's all that matters. He hasn't missed a target yet.

Where's Valenti??

geese...strauss kicks it like trav (but better)

german quarter time address:

told bail that it's all in the head, and to have the confinence to get the goals when their is a chance, because you cant keep missing these oppurtunities.

told wheats not to panic if he doesnt get much of it, just to work his way back in.

told LJ he had good defensive pressure.

Really like the pressure that the forwards and midfielders are putting on. No doubt that Juice has really added this aspect to his game which is terrific to see.

Impressed with Dunn so far too - if only he could bring this form with him into the senior team!

Ricky Petterd's kicking is terrible, just terrible. Which is a shame, because he is a good player otherwise. Very good mark for his size.

Great tackle from Newton, and Dunn dominating. Both seem to have found their level.

McKenzie's clearance work is brilliant, and Jurrah's handball to Newton just now was pure magic.

the side ways agility of jurrah in traffic then was phenomenal. no one could get it and he pulled that out. the handball showed fantastic composure, vision and excellent skills. newtons pass to miller was pretty good also.

ive only seen a bit, but newton is playing well, chases hard, looks more at home across half forward than ive seen him.

wheatly is stuggling a bit, getting the ball, but not sing it well.

Newton looks like he's turned the corner, never stops trying, presents well, finds space, does the team things and displays footy smarts.

'Looks like'.

I have been saying this about juice for a few weeks now, and good that everyone gets a chance to see the jurah realy is, was hoping he was going to be a late inclusion on monday oh wel wont be long now

did anyone see the free that dunn got for head high on the ground? he deserved the free kick for the high contact, but i don't think he deserved a free kick against him for the late tackle in the first place. the werribee player just threw the ball out wen he was tackled.

ps jurrah is dominating this uarter, two more shots at goal in the last 30 seconds for a return of 3.2. he kicked 3 last week, must be close to a call up.

edit stats: 6 kicks 2 andballs, 3 marks from jurrah.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
