I have in the past struggled to see how he fits in to our team of the future but I can now see what he does best. A few goals and a few assists adding up to an important part of our attack. Jack Watts will stand much taller in the goal square with Miller in front of him.

Okay...am sure at least Jaded and Queen will smirk... He ( Frsoty ) has stepped up...quite a bit. Lets though not lose sight on the idea that he had to either. But plaudits etc where due. He is playing a much wider game and not so hesistant ( not brilliant yet..just not so hesitant ) to back himslef into a forward movement of his own doing. This addds so many strings to his options and results speak for itself. He is not alone in need ing many many hours in front of sticks with a good kicking coach.

Its a vast improvement for sure and he is to be heartilly congratulated for it.

I actually liked his left foot poke at the sticks with resultant mark by none other than Chairman Jimma ( that alone ought to be recorded for posterity..a classic piece of imagery !! )

Just keep it happening Miller.. keep applying..keep believing..keep improving... you just never know it might rub off on some others !!

We saw a guy on the opposition yesterday who works his guts out, leads by example.....but his kicking is sometimes absolutely terrible.yet he is regarded as a champion....and seems to get better with age........perhaps Brad watched him and thought why not......

Anyone who has ever player up the front end will know that part of goal kicking is natural ability... to some degree you either just know where the sticks are..or youve spent many many hours probably from the time you could carry a ball down the park, kicking and kicking at the uprights until it 'becomes' second nature. After you hone the raw ability..you have to BELIEVE , whilst in a real game, that you can kick those goals; the same ones youve kicked over and over in practice. So there is the confidence/belief aspect.

Some people are just gifted.. I wasnt..it took a lot of practice..lots..to make that pill go where I wanted. I think Miller is strangely only NOW starting to beleive in himself and his ability to kick. This in itself plays with my head that guys can get so far into a top level career without this just being a given. In all likely hood the more Miller backs himself and gets the 'snags' then he will become more potent. Conversely if he has the yips for too long then t will al fal lby the wayside. He's not a naturally good kick..he needs a lot of practice still..and a good coach. Actually..who is, if anyone the kicking skills coach at the club ??

Look the boys did well and we had a few players step up it was great. But the real test is if the boys can play well again this week cause lets be honest it was only rechmond, not necessarily win but play well. If miller plays well and sylvia again then ill once again have faith in these 2.

We did it in the First quarter versus the Pies too from memory, we're developing enough skillful/quick players that we will be a devastating team to watch in the future in my mind, and that's not "hoping"

Richmond were pathetic with their pressure and the way we were able to move through the centre was a terrible indicator of where they are at.

Geelong and Adelaide will let us off the hook there.

And bugger me didn't win play our best football with Sylvia in the middle and Dunn forward. Not many players can turn a player inside out like Dunn does I have no idea why they don't play him forward more often I hope they will now. Hopefully Sylvia has finally pulled the finger out of his ass and play the football we need him to play.

Damn straight. So frustratingly slow when he's got the ball. But I think he's improving. The extra muscle may have helped.

Its his first effort that damns him and muscle does not hide the issue.

In AFL football you live or die as a footballer on the quality of your first efforts. His 2nd or 3rd efforts dont hide the deficiency of some of the first efforts.

Top Game By Brad last Sunday- he gave his all to the club. Best game since the Fremantle Final in 2006.

If the Ball is delivered to him properly he will mark it, no doubt. I wonder whether his being tentative with kicking stems from being a queenslander as a kid? Maybe he didn't kick Footy's as a child like some kid from an AFL state. Just a thought, because he certainly is not keen on the set shot.

That said one day (hopefully often) Brad Miller is going to kick an absolute "bag" of goals. Deliver the Ball properly.

I think that we all identify that Brad has flaws (oooohhhhhhh).

I would go insane if I were miller. The number of times that he nbeats his opponent and the ball is kicked anywhere but out in front is mind-bending. Seriosuly, no bloody wonder he gets gun-shy and ratty in front of goal - he must be concerned that this is only damn time he'll get a decent shot.

In a good team, with better supply, and better forwards around him, Miller would easily be a 3-goals a game forward. That he is doing it anyway on his own, is an absolute credit to him.

Just wondering if anyone seriously thinks he is a good player.. im not comparing him to champions like carey ablett etc, to be honest i dont care how much he works. if he doesnt impact the scoreboard enough, or impact the play enough over 4 quarters instead of junk time i really cant rate him anything but a liability to the club.. have a look at the games Vs goals and see how good he is doing.. And dont give me any lame excuses like he runs around alot or he doesntget good delivery.. Neither does RIcho but he still kicks goals and he is a terrible kick... how many times does miller take a mark and then go back waste 20 seconds and then make a poor discesion anyway? or lately playing on with no awarness of who is near him.. or playing on from 20meters out and getting dumped.. personally i thoink the club has wasted to much time and effort for not enough return.. bate and miller 50 meters out.. hmmm bate has a ping and goes close . miller goes back on the mark wastes time they flood the backline then he handpassses to some who immediatly gets tackled..sound familiar?? who really thinks miller will ever.. on his best day out against freo at the g kick more than 4 goals in a match?? he doesnt look confident when he has the ball, meesen looks more comfortable with it than miller.

Know this might have seemed like a massive miller bash. but i am very objective person..

he has strentgths for sure, good kick when he has time, good mark when he is in the right spot. strong busts packs open yeah all true. but can he read the play? does he bring team mates into the play by himself? can he ever truely dominate a match, can he win one for us? The guy is a giant. and at the moment he seems like he is playing great.... but they only measure it against him.. if it was neitz, schwartz, etc, and the had the same stats and low impact we would think they had a shocker..

The question i want to know is how much can we trade him for , who would take him over there own Chf or FF?? i would rather juice or Stefan Martin, or rivers (who can read the play) or johnson have a crack at it get the games into them let them bulk up and learn the position.. we wont win a flag for atleast three years..so why not get them up to speed?

Make miller a floating hB take the pressure of kicking goals of him, it wont matter if he takes his time after a mark, if someone runs past and gets a handpass he is unlikely to get blindsided, in short he cant do as much damage to our scoreboard down there. and players like bate, green , Wonna etc are free to take shots on rather than looking for miller..

If they are going to persist with miller in the for ward line, Please get someone like neitz, schwartz even wayne carey to teach him how to present, and where to present to. when to go and make him have a shot from inside the arc..everytime, do a quinton lynch. and get the small blokes to follow him around like a bad smell.. put wonna at his feet jetta whoever solong as they are fast.

I totally agree, yes Brad is not the most gifted of footballers, but if the ball went over a cliff he would go after it if it meant something for MFC.

He busted a gut on Sunday, scored three goals.....I hope he doesn't read the utter rubbish contained in that long winded waffle.
