The match day report laid against Melbourne’s Colin Sylvia for striking Port Adelaide’s Josh Carr from Sunday’s match was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Sylvia’s action was a pushing motion and not a strike. The contact was also below that required to constitute a reportable offence and it was the view of the panel the Port Adelaide player accentuated the contact. No further action was taken.

Both Power boys got games though.... Which is nice!! Burgoyne the dirty [censored] got what he deserved for kneeing Davey when he was down.... Obviously Port realised that they were like fresh meat in Pentridge last year and have made a pact to get tougher this season.... But toughness is measured in different ways....

I think he's lucky. It was quite a forceful blow to the throat, but I'm happy he got off. He shouldn't and probably won't be dropped so now he can help us beat Richmond next week.

It was a push that turned into one of the greatest dives of all time!

The only reason it went up was because of the dive which the umpire fell for............the camera angle made it look far worse than it was............and that's why it was thrown out!

Nahh I dont think there was much in it, It was sorta just a push in the throat but Carr made it look worse.
