Completely agree.

The supporters are no better than the players.

Mind you doesn't the H-Sun love it.

Friday front page....Collingwood player on aggravated assault charge.

Possible Sunday front page...Pies Fans etc etc.

What is it with that Club anyway?

For those of you old enough to remember Victoria Park was the worst ground to go to for ferals.

It boggles the mind.

All I can say is thank God the dogs were arrested. I would absolutely assume they would be locked away for a while, stripped of any kind of membership, and banned from any of the grounds. No room for human garbage like this anywhere in our society other than jail cells.

Hopefully they are made an example of in the same way that Richmond spitter was a few years ago. If it's not given the airtime the Barassi bashing was given, then it should be.

I saw the last stages of it, already a big crowd there and it was sickening at how they were laying into him. As I said in another post, I did't know how it started but given this clarity of the report I now know what was actually happening before my eyes in the very last stages of the brawl - scumbags!

I was going to post about this earlier. We were walking outside gate 4 when it occurred. Scum Collingwood supporters were saying that Jones started it, which isn't possible. A disgrace to take my wife, and two young kids to feel threatened. My wife doesn't want to go to a collingwood game anymore - that's sad.

On another note, they won the game by 50 points and still booed the umpires all the way off the ground. What a pile of scumbags they really are.

Good or bad news, if it involves Collingwood it sells papers, sad really.

Unbelievable, really. Unfortunately, it will be something that the likes of his son Zac, 14, will never forget - as well as those who witnessed it.

Whilst terrible news, it was somewhat pleasing to read that these thugs copped abuse from other Pies and Demons fans as they were being arrested.

I wish Mr.Jones a speedy recovery.

Just the tonic the Dees need for the Queens Birthday clash. Only 9 weeks away.

Jimmy just keeps on impressing me. His response to this terrible event shows true class - MFC is in good hands. Bravo. It must be so hard for parents of AFL players to attend matches and listen to their sons being abused by supporters of the club and opposition alike. Maybe MFC can be proactive in this matter by providing seats in a MFC area e.g where injured players sit.

What sick pricks.

If the allegations are correct then this is truly disgusting and truly dampens any happiness that Collingw&%$ would have otherwise felt today.

I wish Mr. Jones a speedy recovery.

Poor man. I hope he gets over this soon. What a terrible thing for his son to witness. Was this long after the game? We left by gate 4 and sat in the car, which wasn't far away, for a while. I did see the police van coming over, but I just assumed they were picking up someone who might have been picked up earlier.

This is horrible news. I have to wonder if it was the same three thugs who had a go at one of the cheer squad members (who is disabled). Three adult males up against one disabled person. Where was security? He was watching the whole thing, smirking. I am sure the cameras picked up the incident, it might be worth watching.

Fortunately, the cheer squad moved the person away from the troublemakers, and put someone in his seat who was more able to take the $&% these guys were dishing out. It still leaves a sour taste, and I must say that there is usually trouble at a Collingwood game, the supporters seem to think it is ok to lash out at whoever is around them, whether they are winning or losing. The last game I went to, I had to call security over because several little darlings had armed themselves with laser pointers and were flashing them in the eyes of our guys when they were lining up for a goal.

I hate Collingwood games.

Guest Proud Pies

I don't normally come onto other team boards, but as a Collingwood Supporter and Member I'm disgusted by these gutless cowardly thugs.

I sincerely hope that Brad Jones and his young son will be ok.

I hope that these gutless wonders are dealt with by the full extent of the law and that if they are members of Collingwood that their Memberships are revoked and that they are banned for life from attending ANY football match.

There's never any excuse for violence.

What the hell were the crowd doing? Barracking? Pathetic.

One wonders what excuse Eddie will find.... he normally defends his players, maybe his supporters too !!!!!.....I read "substance" was involved... also typical at collingwood !!!

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
